I just don't get why people like it - it feels like spying on people, or otherwise violating their privacy, to me. But I know my own fic preferences are questionable in their own ways, so...

RPF is probably the biggest part of fandom I wish would disappear. It is thankfully pretty tame here, but boy bands RPF can be terrifying. And then you get the tinhatters like Supernatural Gossips (fellow SPN fans will understand) and it is just no. Just write an AU for the characters as actors and call it a day.
People keep referencing stage directions in the original script. Could anyone please link to a copy of it?

Anyone here ever only do self-fills? Anyone here afraid of doing long fills? In case you go off topic or misread the prompt, or write something the prompter doesn't like? Or run out of steam and wip forever?

I've personally never posted anything that wasn't already finished, because I don't trust my ability to maintain steam for a half-finished WIP. As for worrying about going off-prompt for longer fills, I did once decide to write a continuation of a fill. It was a different tone from the light-hearted original, so I asked OP if they would mind if I posted it beneath their prompt. They never replied, so I cross-posted to AO3 only and did it that way.
I don't self-fill, but mostly because I don't really have ideas for prompts. That's part of the reason I love kinkmemes so much.

All the time, usually when I've got the story all figured out in my head and I only really have to type it down I'm hit by boredom over my own ideas.1

I return yesterday from watching that movie, and while I love it to bits, and its so much better than BvS, I can assuringly say:
nothing has changed. I came out, and didnt feel the need to check up a million pairings or scourring ao3 for the million fics to come.
Kylux still burns with the fierceness of a thousand suns in my heart.

I'm going to a SW party in the city. Some artists are making over a bar/venue into the Mos Eisley cantina and everyone is coming in costume! There will even be live musical acts. I have my costume ready and I'm just trying to figure out how to make an ad-hoc holster for my steampunk blaster.

Since this happened to me before (on another kinkmeme, though):
What do you do (as a prompt OP) if an ongoing fill that started out good suddenly takes a turn in a direction you're not on board with? Be it something you don't like (that maybe even was specified in the prompt as a squick) or something that goes in a direction that just really deviates from the original prompt or adds stuff that was never asked for (especially if it's kinda weird niche content you can't just expect every reader to like)?
As a normal reader, you don't really get a say in since you can just drop it, but would it be alright to say something if you're the OP? Not in a rude way, just something like "Hey, sorry, this is getting a bit too far away from what I originally wanted" with a request to maybe continue it under a seperate, new "fake prompt" thread?
Of course you could just stop reading, but from when this happened to me, I didn't really want to check up on the meme for a while because the turned-weird-story kept popping up in the flat view and it was annoying.

As a filler I would rather have the OP tell me that I have derailed too far away from the prompt than continue under the assumption that I am still meeting what they wanted. It is your prompt after all and I imagine it would fall under the "hijack rule".

recently I have seen a small influx of fics at ao3, that have the tag or mentioned in the notes, about about something called myspaceAU.
it looks like these WIPs are all modern AUs, and i know superficially about myspace, which seemed to be huge in America like 10-15 years ago?
is there someone who could explain this, so that I might know or be better prepared what one could expect in those AU`s?
is this like comedy?

Yeah, from experience, backdating fics is a definite no no if you want people to see and read them, as the majority of readers only check the first few pages of a tag, because they assume anything new to them will appear there. Backdating automatically places your fic further back in the results.

I posted something to the ao3 directly because I happened to already have a sockpuppet account set up, and now I'm wondering if I'm not getting any comments because people can kudos instead. I mean, it could just be that the story is about a weird kink but I think I kicked ass at writing that weird kink so how else am I supposed to find the readers that want to read it?

As both a filler and a reader, I prefer to post as comments and on AO3.
I think your best bet for getting the most readers/recognition would be to initially post the fic as onto the meme, then once any comments have died down, upload it to AO3 and post the link to the thread too.

idk if yall have heard this but ive read this on multiple sources now: tom hardy (!!!!!) gets a cameo in episode eight in which he, as a stormtrooper, recognizes finn and thinks hes still loyal to the first order by being a spy in the resistance. so he just walks up to finn and smacks his butt and is like "YOOOO"

ABO has been growing on me because of this meme, but I don't think I will ever not laugh at people calling kids "pups" in any serious form. Looking for a beta to read my longfic, Kylo Ren / Hux pairing, Academy pre-TFA story. Rating mature, will be a little sappy, very angsty, is already 25k+ words long. Grammar and spelling should be mostly fine except for the occasional derp moment and some slip-ups in tenses. I mean, that's just how nature WORKS. Without a secondary DNA donor to mix things up, Ani would have to be genetically identical to his mother, his birth a form of mammalian parthenogenesis. Only, you know, developed as a male in the womb.
So, if Vader was half alien, that would explain how powerful he was, and his descendants are.
But if he was a naturally occurring clone of some kind, then wouldn't that mean Shmi was also Force sensitive?
