I am curious as though why the rumors said, it was unexpected. honestly, T'challa aka black panther was regal, like wow, his performance blew me away, that was perfect casting. as was spiderman! hahah jesus, for once, an actor really looks like a teenager and the same age as that character. I wasnt sold to the black panther and new spiderman movies, but after Civil war? Marvel can have my money for the next few years, all fine!
also, purely subjective, black panther was hot, but then its marvel, all the entire cast had chemistry with each other, like, if it werent for TFA and kylux, I would be right running into the marvel kink meme, and delve into it.
Bucky/T'challa will get its fair share, but if I had to wildly guess, I can see every possible combination of pairings het and slash out of this movie. hmmm come to think if kylux would slow down.... I am really into underage fics, and spiderman...nope, not going there. must concentrate on my fav idiot villains and the force, and will not betray the first order :D
AYRT: Perhaps it's just unexpected to me - I prefer DC over Marvel when it comes to actual paper and ink comics (with a smattering of Spider-Man and Deadpool, because this spandex fetish is real), so I'm not really familiar with the characters of "Winter Soldier" and Black Panther. All I really know of Bucky's personality comes from a sort of "cultural osmosis" thanks to the glut of Steve/Bucky fic and art out there. And since the films aren't out here yet, all I've seen of Bucky and T'challa interacting is a single gif of Panther kicking Bucky in the face.
But yeah, if not for evil space boyfriends, I'd probably be scouring the net for Spider-Man as well.
gods, if you were into noncon and dark themes, it should be impossible since the Cap 2: winter soldier movie to avoid bucky. combining with all the additional stories that agents of shields provided, i am not counting, but there must be as much bucky/steve fics out there as there are tony/steve fics.
hard to tell or even guess, which ship is "winning" in terms of sheer fandom fic and art output. SW is prolific, and we have probably hundreds of EU novels, the animated series, and the movies, but in comparison to size of the marvel and DC comic and movie universe?? aww, not sure, in sheer numbers of fanbase, who would win.
Yeah, both fandoms are going through a bit of a "renascence" right now, aren't they? There's so much fan content being made daily, shippy or otherwise, that it's hard to get a good picture of which one is bigger/better/more active!
