Hux draws as a hobby. Not landscapes or still life- he drafts technically exact engineering schematics, minuetly labelled. The plans for the Finalizer and Starkiller both came to be because of the Creative Expression time he's scheduled into his Fridays (creative spontaneity downstairs happen by accident) and the occasional evening in his quarters with a glass of something expensive.

Weapons are his forte, and of late it's become clear that Kylo is in essence, Stoke's weapon. Hux tries to apply himself to a pen-and-paper dissection of Ren, a schematic to try and tease out what makes him so dangerous. Obviously it gets complicated.

+ 1000000 if Kylo enlists his help in designing his new lightsaber.

Before he was a pilot, Poe was a teenage pop sensation, one who was quite popular in the remnants of the Empire.


+The reason Kylo didn't know they had the best pilot in the resistance is because all the stormtroopers could talk about was that they had the guy who sang 'You Coruscan And I Coruscant' and maybe could they get his autograph? After they tortured him for information? Pretty please?
++ Face Loran from the x-wing books was Poe's agent and helped him transition into piloting.

Han/Poe, Han takes advantage of Poe's crush

Han and Leia have been split up for ages but he still comes by every so often as a favor, and when Poe meets him he's absolutely star struck. He offers to fix up Han's ship, smuggles in contraband, you name it, he'll do it.

Poe is obviously Leia's favorite, so Han sleeps him with. Possibly a little roughly. Poe is oblivious that he's part of a power play and kind of ecstatic.

Past Luke/Many OFCs: Luke is everyone's father

All of the younger characters in TFA are Luke's kids (except Kylo). ALL of them. Hux? An affair with a Imperial's wife who was spying on her husband. Poe? Secondary in his parents' poly marriage, and no one bothered to run a DNA test. Rey? One night stand. Phasma? Fertility ritual with a warrior princess.

Take it in any direction you like, anons.

Finn/Poe/Rey "X Men-Apocalypse"

Poe is kidnapped by Snoke and imbues him with dark side power and essentially turns him into a superpowed slave/assasin. Cue him attacking the Resistance and Finn and Rey figuring out how to stop him.

+100 Poe is eventually captured but Luke is horrified at the abilities he is showing, saying that they are things he has never seen before. Luke then insists that they kill Poe because he is too dangerous to keep alive.

i need more of the classic, kylo-overhears-hux's-thoughts scenario tbh. but i also have a Burning Need™ to see this with sub!hux. hux thinking about the most degrading things kylo could do or say to him. kylo is suffering because it's justifiably hard to sleep when somebody one room over is thinking loudly about you fucking them senseless.

Hux/Leia, love letters

Somewhere in the midst of their attempts to out-strategize each other, Hux and Leia start up an odd little correspondence, leaving each other messages on the battlefield or through hacked communications. They start out as challenges and taunts, and over time become more respectful and poetic--even romantic.

Needless to say, this gets a bit awkward when they meet for diplomatic talks and Leia's abruptly reminded that in spite of his eloquence and extensive vocabulary, Hux is still only about the same age as her son.

Hux/Kylo Modern/Earth AU: Theatre Kids

Bossy but competent stage manager Brendol Hux, Jr. is used to dealing with prima donna Kylo Ren, favorite of Mr. Snoke, the Academy's drama teacher. However, when Ren's position as lead male is stolen away by Ren's on-again off-again ex Poe Dameron, Hux is now forced to deal with a pissy Ren who is forced to work tech in lieu of being unable to secure a part in the school-wide musical. Now, they must put aside their differences to put together the Academy's first musical in decades, and maybe fall in love with each other along the way.

Bonuses:
+Kylo is phenomenal at stage make up and is a thrift store bargaining genius, the latter of which Hux finds out when they go shopping for costumes. His grandmother taught him well.
+Official ^(TM) stage manager Phasma, the cool older, actually-employed-at-this-school stage manager.
+Booth talk - what happens/is said in the booth/on headset stays in the booth/on headset.
++Kylo realizing just how snarky and even scathing booth talk can get - and realizing that they must've talked about him like this when he was on stage.
+Oblivious!Poe. He has no idea why Ren is so angry with him for snatching away his supposed Dream Role.
+The Skywalkers are a family of actors - notably diva Anakin and Luke. Anakin was the greatest Shakespearean actor of his generation, and Luke mastered Chekhov to a tee.

Kylo Ren, time traveling matchmaker for Anakin/Padme

Back To The Future Prequels plot! Kylo is thrown back in time (AotC-era) without any Force powers (because grandpa's handsome midichlorians haven't "entered into trade negotiations with Naboo" yet) and he's gotta get Anakin to bang some twins into Padme, FAST, so Kylo can secure his bloodline, get the Force back, and return to his own time before he fades away forever!

Unfortunately Kylo is a clingy fanboy who constantly risks never existing because he monopolizes all of his grandfather's time -- time Anakin originally spent with Padme. Kylo just figures he'll get them in a room together and boom! Done. But OH WHAT, apparently Padme has serious reservations about even starting a relationship?? And Anakin is sort of a leering dweeb???

Undercover Grandson Kylo Ren proceeds to dispense suspect romantic advice, and in defiance of ALL LOGIC it totally works. The infamous "I don't like sand" line? 100% Kylo's fault idea.

BONUSES:
+ Anakin tries to let Kylo down gently, because holy shit this guy is obviously in love with him. Kylo's like WHAT

++ Padme is spurred into action by romantic rivalry, because holy shit this Kylo guy is obviously in love with Anakin. Kylo's like WHAT but FINE

Finn ran away from the First Order years ago, and is making a living as a smuggler. When Rey finds BB8 she triggers the "If you're seeing this I've been captured and am probably dead," message Poe left for Leia (or Luke, if Luke is getting his Ben Kenobi hermit act on Jakku). Determined to get the plans back to The Resistance and save Poe, Rey (and Luke) hire a smuggler at the local spaceport - it's Finn, because of course it is.

An injured Kylo becomes relaxed/aroused in spite of himself when Hux has to gently tend to his wounds. It's the most someone's touched him without the intention to hurt him in a long time and Hux just looks so in control and meticulous while applying those bandages just right.

Poe takes Finn out to a fancy eating establishment Finn keeps making mistakes about dining etiquette (drinking out of the finger bowl, trying to crack the shell of a land prawn and sending it flying across the restaurant etc) because fine dining has never been part of his life experience. Poe thinks it's adorable except for how obviously embarrassed and frustrated by his lack of knowledge Finn is, so Poe has the restaurant package everything up to go and takes it and Finn to a secluded outdoorsy area were they feed each other the fancy food with their fingers.

There is something about Finn that people just can't help but like, and he is quickly taking Poe's title of Everyone's Favorite Person in the Resistance. Would love Poe to pine and think Finn's sleeping around, but really, it's not a seduction on Finn's part at all. Meanwhile, Finn is also being a little bit sneaky and has been asking all his new friends for advice on how to seduce Poe.

Now that he knows it's allowed, Finn is a bit of a PDA monster, in that whenever he's around Poe, he can't stop touching him. Just little, sweet gestures, like hand holding, or cheek kissing, or coming up behind Poe and cuddling/nuzzling the daylights him. Everyone thinks they're an adorable couple, except they're not even together like that yet. Poe is torn between enjoying it and not saying anything for fear of embarrassing Finn, or telling Finn and possibly no longer getting to have it.

There's a pool going around the base about who can seduce Finn first and Poe somehow accidentally gets in on it, but only because he wants to keep those heathens away from Finn. But then Finn finds out and is broken-hearted because thinks it's some sort of game meant to pick on the ex-stormtrooper. Poe's gotta fix it.

Poe takes Finn back to Yavin 4 to introduce him to his dad and their extended family, completely as friends. Except everyone there knows before either Finn or Poe that they're totally together and meddling ensues. Particularly from Kes, who thinks Finn would make a fine son in law.

After saving a handful of child soldiers from the first order, Finn insists on taking them under his wing. That means they're also Poe's by proxy, and as such, Poe secretly sets out to teach these kids how to have proper childhoods. A family unit sort of happens, and the kids eventually decide that it would be really great if their two adoptive "dads" were actually together together, instead of just being "buddies" in a completely unconvincing way. Cue the kids using their tactical training to matchmake their unwitting new fathers.

Stormpilot AU pretend boyfriends

Poe's parents set him up with Finn, and he hates how they're always meddling in his love life. Not everyone can have the big epic love that they do, after all. And while Finn is SUPER hot, Poe also assumes (wrongly) that Finn was bullied into this whole dating set up, since Finn just started working for Poe's dad and Poe thinks Finn only agreed to the date because he didn't want to piss off his new boss. So Poe strikes a deal with Finn, who seems cool: They'll hang out, pretend to date for a few weeks, then tell Poe's mom and dad that they didn't work out but parted amicably and are still friends. That way they'll be off Poe's back for a little while, and Finn can go to work without risking the stink-eye for breaking the boss's son's heart.

Finn is disappointed Poe isn't interested in him, but agrees to help Poe out because he's too nice, and he's new to the city and could use a friend either way. (Even though having a friend he's totally hot for could be a problem one day.)

GIVE ME ALL THE PINING. And Poe's parents being smug shits about it afterwards.
