kylo and hux tolerate each other and can work as a team if forced, but that's it. they make it work.

then kylo gets a bump to the head, and instead of forgetting a relationship, he thinks that he and hux are together. it's hilarious at first, playing along with it. hux even takes a few holovids of kylo still woozy and grinning at him from the nest of blankets he's made himself [mandatory observed bed rest after a grade 2 concusuion, pffff] and trying to seek out Hux's hand with his own.

then, it takes a turn for the worse. kylo cottons on to how hux doesn't really want to touch him. how stilted the convo is. that kinda thing. he bottles it all up throughout the day until he panics and asks what it is he's done wrong, convinced that if he goes to sleep properly [he's exhausted] he'll wake up alone, and none of this will have been real.

Rey has a whole graveyard of ships to pillage and the mechanical know-how easily comparable to baby Ani when he built C3P-0.
She could make one to sell for portions, but handing them over to Unkar Plutt felt like selling her friends into slavery, so she never does it again. She's built herself droid friends before to keep her company and to help her out. Teedo steals them and stripped them for parts.

Bonus if she's joyfully reunited with the one scrapyard droid she had to sell or risk starving.

Having grown up in the First Order, there's not really a sense of propriety when it comes to being naked around others. Mostly it happened because it was a necessity for bathing or examinations and the like. Since Kylo spent some time in Poe's head they have a one-way connection that Poe has no idea about. Kylo wanted to use it to spy when he can find the time and the quiet to concentrate on infiltrating Poe's mind, but as the sessions go on, Kylo ends up being less of a mental spy and more of an obsessed viewer of a cheesy romantic holodrama. Basically, he starts to shirk his duties in order to tune in to the will-they-won't-they show of Poe Dameron and FN-2187. In fact, he even mysteriously starts to ROOT for Poe and Finn to get together. (Let's face it, Kylo Ren is a dramatic shipping fangirl at heart.)

Yet, Kylo couldn't break his mind even as they were fighting in the snow of Starkiller, and this is huge, considering how easily he'd shattered young would-be Jedis when he'd been a CHILD. So what makes FN-2187 different?

Kylo obsessively studies every bit of documentation they have pertaining to FN-2187 and finds himself falling (in his version) of love with this mysterious anomaly. He MUST get FN-2187 back from the Resistance. (And more importantly, away from that stupid hotshot pilot that insists on flirting so shamelessly with him.)
