Hux draws as a hobby. Not landscapes or still life- he drafts technically exact engineering schematics, minuetly labelled. The plans for the Finalizer and Starkiller both came to be because of the Creative Expression time he's scheduled into his Fridays (creative spontaneity downstairs happen by accident) and the occasional evening in his quarters with a glass of something expensive.

Weapons are his forte, and of late it's become clear that Kylo is in essence, Stoke's weapon. Hux tries to apply himself to a pen-and-paper dissection of Ren, a schematic to try and tease out what makes him so dangerous. Obviously it gets complicated.
