kylo and hux tolerate each other and can work as a team if forced, but that's it. they make it work.

then kylo gets a bump to the head, and instead of forgetting a relationship, he thinks that he and hux are together. it's hilarious at first, playing along with it. hux even takes a few holovids of kylo still woozy and grinning at him from the nest of blankets he's made himself [mandatory observed bed rest after a grade 2 concusuion, pffff] and trying to seek out Hux's hand with his own.

then, it takes a turn for the worse. kylo cottons on to how hux doesn't really want to touch him. how stilted the convo is. that kinda thing. he bottles it all up throughout the day until he panics and asks what it is he's done wrong, convinced that if he goes to sleep properly [he's exhausted] he'll wake up alone, and none of this will have been real.

does hux tell him bluntly or does he just wait until he's asleep and leave? something else?? idk but please help someone, this prompt has been stuck in my head all day and i know im not capable of doing it justice lmaao

I love those "I'm attracted to you, you were sitting at my bedside when I woke up, so I assumed we were together" amnesia fics..! So much potential for fluff and angst, in equal measures! Seconded!

Thirding and totally agreeing with above comment I am so weak for those fics
