Kylo/Hux: Knights of Ren AU, Force-Sensitive!Hux

Kylo Ren, Master of the Knights of Ren, is intrigued by the quiet, solitary Knight of Ren who calls himself 'Hux'.

Hux, in turn, doesn't know what to do about his so-called 'Master', who constantly keeps bothering him. He just wants to be left alone. Is that too much to ask?

+ Hux never wanted to be a Knight of Ren. His father disowned him after Hux's Force-Sensitivity was discovered. He watched as the only future he'd ever wanted - entering the Academy, becoming an officer, doing something for the glory of the First Order went up in smoke. He was taken and 'trained' (literally: tortured nonstop until he broke) by the Supreme Leader.

++ Hux carries out his missions because all he ever wanted was to serve the First Order, and he'll do it however he can.

Ben Solo trapped in a dream world

Au where Snoke took control of Ben by basically trapping his conscious in a dream world, and implanting a Kylo Ren persona to take over.
Ben has no idea the world he is living in is not real, and Snoke's influence makes him turn away from any detail that might tip him off. Instead, he loses himself in the Paradise universe created for him.

Fast forward fifteen years later, Kylo Ren is captured by the Resistance. It doesn't take them long for them to realize what is truly happen. A psychic expedition team is formed, comprised of Luke, Rey, and anyone else anon wants. (I am partial to Leia,Han and/or Poe). The goal: free Ben's mind and bring him back to the real world.
Which is a much more difficult task than it sounds like when waking him up means making him accept that everything around him is a lie, that he has killed so many people during his time "away", and that if he wakes up he will wake up to a Galaxy at war.

Bonus:
+ Ben recognizes Rey, and through dream logic is only mildly surprised that she is much older than the five year old in his mind. Rey has to reconcile the mental image of Kylo Ren with this version who is a loving cousin.
++ Paradise dream world means that Ben can sometimes shift into a child if he wants to, and live a "fixed" version of his childhood. Skywalker family watches in heartbreak.
+++ Snoke steps into the dream world and acts like the creep he is.

Kylo wants Snoke. He wants to please his master in every way, he's desperate for it, but Snoke won't have him. Snoke doesn't allow their relationship to ever reach that level and shames Kylo when he suggests anything in that direction.

Hux is appalled that Kylo wants Snoke's decrepit dick but sees an opportunity to take advantage of Kylo and his feelings and give him what Snoke won't.

Senator Ben Amidala spends thousands of credits on his clothes, entertainment, and image--all necessary to please his constituents from Naboo and win over hostile elements like the First Order.

Poe Dameron is the best pilot in the New Republic's army, and he earns kriffing shit and has to use second-hand parts to repair his own X-Wing. Angry at the way the New Republic's army is treated, he starts a grassroots campaign to root out corruption and bribery in the Senate and send the money where it's supposed to go--to the New Republic Army.

Unsurprisingly, Ben Amidala's mom agrees with Poe Dameron. And is making speeches on his behalf.

So Ben Amidala invites Poe Dameron out to dinner...just to listen to his point of view.

No First Order AU - Han drags Luke away from his trainees for an unwanted vacation. They end up stranded on Jakku with Rey having the only compatible repair part in her personal not-for-sale scavenge collection. Rey's heard weird, only sometimes true stories about Luke and figures if anyone can find her family it's him. The trade she wants is a marriage between them valid until they either find her family or they have a child of their own! Han finds this hilarious as Leia has been trying to marry Luke off to show the new Jedi order is different than the old for years now, and refuses to help him negotiate a different deal.

+If you can give Finn and Poe interesting things to do without the FO around I'd love to see it!

Faced with a future where (Force help us) Darth Vader may never exist, Kylo Ren sets out on a noble mission to fuck up Dear Grandpa and get him hella laid with Dear Grandma. The Old Republic will never know what hit it!

Based on the ever famous scene from Game of Thrones, Rey is "kidnapped" by Kylo and held in a tower on a secret planet for almost a year. (note it is up to the writer if she goes there willingly or not). Poe arrives at the tower months later to see Rey dying of childbirth and her last words are "Promise me" as she makes him promise to protect her child from the First Order and the Dark Side. Cue Finn and Poe raising Rey and Kylo's child as their own.

The First Order finally decides Snoke is more a liability than asset, and moves against him. They’re not so foolish to make the same mistake twice with Force sensitives. They assassinate him, and whatever Knights aren’t killed in the coup end up fleeing. Kylo is caught weakened on the Finalizer, still too injured after Starkiller to make an escape or fight back effectively. He fully expects to die at the hands of these traitors, on his knees and wretched.

He’s as surprised as anyone when Hux intervenes, and argues on his behalf for his survival.

I wonder if he'd argue the We Can Use Him On Our Side angle or push the We Should Kill Him Later (In Front Of Leia) stalling tactic, or maybe he just starts filibustering about Order and waits for everyone else to give up. Kylo would probably get mind-reader whiplash from Hux reviewing every critical thought he's ever had about him and rapidly pulling a convincing pro-survival speech together.

One night Kylo suggests making sundaes…in bed…all over Hux. Hux is a bit uncomfortable at first, but having chocolate drizzled over him, whipped cream licked off of him and Kylo telling him how good he tastes is…well…its certainly doing SOMETHING for him.
