People tend to write Hux as a really smart and organized person. Is he though? Leaving no guard at Poe Dameron's. Not double checking to make sure they have more than 1 guard posted at Rey's, even if the guard is James Bond. Not installing more anti-aircraft measures or foot patrols at the one biggest weakness of the planet killer weapon when history showed how that is not a good idea. Having a training program that turned out Stormtrooper that defected after sight of blood and civilian killing. Having pilots who despite superior numbers can't defeat like 12 x-wings.

Also why didn't he send more people to the oscillator when they were getting attacked? Even if he knew Ren was heading there, he also knew Ren is an unreliable little shit right?

i know that lately there's been a bit of unrest, but i've gotta hand it to you guys for being overall one of the calmest internet "forums" i've been on. my first message-boards type deal was in the depths of imdb (i know, i know) ages ago, and even at your worst here i've not seen you drop down to the level of sheer maliciousness that was there. there's a strong sense of community here, even if sometimes we get snippy with one another.

What your favorite (canon or otherwise) relationship among TFA characters that isn't sexual or romantic?

I'm fond of Leia & Poe and Han & Rey, b/c found families, but also childhood Ben & Poe, b/c heartbreak. I also quite like examinations of how Leia and Hux might view each other, though "relationship" might not be the best word for that.

How much of Oscar Isaac is in Bourne Legacy? I can't find his scenes on youtube so I'm thinking of buying it, but if he's just there for one line and is killed right away or something I won't bother with it.

I'd be interestedin seeing what thoughts you have on stormtrooper designations/series. "Finn" is clearly inspired by "FN" and other stormtroopers seem to earn/receive names/nicknames through various habits/events/convenience.

But what do the original letter series mean? Are they point of origin? Handed out in chronologically order of acquisition or graduation through a certain level of testing? Are they a particular assignment, like this series is intended for infantry, this series has eye-augments for sniping, this series is actually experimental for spy work? Or do the number ranges have any significance?

Or is entirely the other way around, and the designations were automatically applied but stormtrooper/first order culture now has ideas/head canons about different series/number ranges being good/bad/infamous for certain things. (Like, no one wants to be on a two person with a 0013?)

Star Wars has got me looking at non Star Wars media to consume to keep in the mood without overdosing myself, or to look at other themes and ideas I can bring into my stories. So far, I have a lineup of:

And I'm writing a kinkmeme fill that I described to a friend while looking for plot help, which she said reminded her of "Pride and Prejudice" ("Except with an evil Mr. Darcy who actually is horrible!" she added happily), so I'm about to suck it up and go read the non-zombie version of P&P.

Based on a previous conversation here about Poe and Kylo, I am not going to lie I have a thing for hateships. Mainly for all the kinky hate sex.

Strangely enough I don't ship Kylo/Hux or Rey/Kylo which are the obvious ships for this category. But give me Kylo/Finn, Kylo/Any Resistance Member, Phasma/Finn, Poe/Kylo or even Hux/Finn in a hateship scenario and my body is ready.
