This meme has been pretty vanilla in comparison to some (looking at you spn). Is it the group or the atmosphere? Do people on here have more squicky? What's too squicky for you? Enemas, sounding, bp, dp, fisting, mpreg, mommy/daddy kink, age play, water sports, incest, necro, etc?

Also, I wouldn't say it's exactly a squick as in I don't find it gross, but characters caring deeply about safewords or affirmative consent to 21st century socially progressive standards if they're not likely to be the kind of characters who would do that (Poe and Finn, yes; Han and Luke, not really; Kylo and Hux, not in this universe) really, really throws me out of a story. (And yes, I know all about safe BDSM practices, but I see them as a necessary annoyance rather than an integral part of the fun; I read stories for the fun.)

I completely agree on the second point. Kink/scene negotiation usually throws me right out of a story. I would rather assume consent unless the fic is clearly dub/non-con. I'd rather it wasn't spelled out for me. I see a lot of this in published BDSM fiction, too.

Agreed, almost anything can be enjoyable if it is written right, makes sense in the story. Underage is the only place where I draw the line.

Age play for sure, specially when joined with mommy/daddy stuff. Necro/incest for obvious reasons, no thank you. Pet play for the same reasons I can't do age play. Forced feminization, again similar reasons.

I never said posters were the same age in my post? Just that age does play a role in what people like to see in stories. 13 year old me tastes in stories are very different from 23 year old me. For example, I was really into Snape/Lily back then, but it's a ship that now makes me uncomfortable looking back to it.

I have no doubt it's the same for a lot of people. Our tastes change and evolve with time. Our tastes in smut might also change as we become more aware of our own sexuality and likes, etc.

I didn't ship anyone with anyone else in anything until the age of 35, when I dove straight into the deep end of Johnlock and Johnstrade PWPs and domestic fluff.

There are squicks and then there are things I'm just not into. My squicks are scat, infantilism, diapers, and necro.

I would like to see more weird alien sex, and more kinky kinks. I feel like a lot of the kinky fics on here are pretty mainstream. I'd be down to read sounding, mommy/daddy kinks, collaring, more pegging, fisting, pissing, sex pollen, tentacle, impact play, age play, fucked up dynamics fics

I would LOVE if this meme got a little less vanilla though, I want to see more wild stuff even if it isn't my cup of tea sometimes it is just nice to have a break from the typical.

(... the last one being the most intense tbh. I'll read almost any kink but I think necrophilia might be a hard limit for me. Then again, I don't think I've ever read necro fic before, so who knows? I'm not overly fond of the oviposition (sp?) or stuffing kinks either, but A/B/O and mpreg don't really bother me.

Most of the necro fics I've read were quite well done. There was one on the DA meme that was disturbing and hauntingly beautiful. Didn't think I would ever willingly read such stuff but one fic in the House fandom converted me many, many years ago.

I take it back. I did read one on the Les Mis kinkmeme that I loved. I don't believe it involved any sex, but there was definitely a dead body hanging around. Same as yours, it was both disturbing and beautiful. Apparently I have fewer squicks than I thought!

The only things that really squick me are scat and extreme underage. I'll read just about anything otherwise.

Although I will say I can't take mommy/daddy kink seriously. It's not a squick, I just find a lot of the dialog used for it in fics to be kinda goofy.

Pedo shit, literal shit and digestive stuff are probably my only proper squicks.

The really in-depth age play and pet play I just find lulzy.

I'm not against it in theory, but a lot of uh "traditional" (I guess?) ABO stuff I don't like because the biological determininsm/gender existentialism stuff is annoying, or everyone is forced into very narrow ooc roles, or the insistance on always using "pups" and "mate" instead of y'know, babies and partner is just weird and silly to me (unless they're werewolves.)

I feel you about the vanilla-ness, nonny. (I still live in hope that the Kylux castration prompt will get filled.)
