Kylo is an Omega and has been on suppressants almost his whole life but seems to forget to take his doses lately. Hux is an Alpha, and has become distracted by an Omega scent on the Finalizer.

Kylo has gone into heat. Some First Order Alphas have cornered him and intend to take turns with him, but Hux shows up and rescues him. They stay together through Kylo's heat.

“Hey.”

Finn looked up from where he was fiddling with BB-8, the BB astromech android prototype, v. 8. Rey, aka Force, aka The One, depending on who you asked, was peeking at him from around the door. “Have you turned on the news recently?”

That was never a good question. Finn rolled across his bedroom to peer at the old tube TV in their dingy family room. Mr. Solo had given it to them two years ago as a house warming gift. It needed an upgrade, but being a superhero wasn't exactly a lucrative business. The talking head on the TV looked especially grim, her perfect eyebrows furrowed in almost comical concern.

“-- Poe Dameron, of The Rapier News, has been kidnapped. The First Order has released this video.”

The screen flashed to a dingy room with no windows. A spotlight highlighted a familiar curly haired man tied to a chair. He was slumped forward, head bowed, but a moment later he looked up.

“So,” Poe said, flashing his usual devastating grin at the camera. One cheek was flushed pink, as if he'd been recently hit. “Who should talk first?”

Finn groaned, sliding one hand down his face. “Again?”

The thing about Finn was: he wasn't always a superhero. There was a Before. Before he was Rebel, the newest masked crusader to hit the streets. Most superheroes had a Before. It was practically a part of the job qualifications: must have a compelling origin story. Bonus points if it is Extra Mysterious.

Finn’s origin story was a bit -- different.

No one asked him about it. Well, everyone asked him at first, but after the first seven times of leaping onto the nearest roof and running off into the sunset, no one asked anymore.

No one besides Poe Dameron, that is.

“Rebel!”

Finn groaned and looked up at the building he was standing by. It would be a stretch, but he could probably make it to the roof. Poe was sprinting down the street, dodging around people and, for one alarming moment, a bus -- and Finn tensed, preparing to save the ridiculous reporter again -- when he popped up from behind a stoop backed elderly lady. Poe managed not to bowl her over, though she still smacked him with her purse, on principle. Poe grinned apologetically at her, but didn't stop until he was well in Finn’s personal space.

“Mr. Dameron,” Finn said, adopting his usual British accent. “What can I help you with?”

Poe looked a little flushed, possibly from his mad dash after Finn. “Do you have a couple minutes to chat? Maybe over a cup of coffee -- we can make it super informal, if that would make you more comfortable.”

There were times requests for interviews sounded a lot like asking a guy out on a date. Finn cleared his throat and took a half step back. “Sorry, mate. Got things to do. In fact, I think I hear someone getting mugged.”

“You have super hearing?” Poe asked, excited.

“Uh, yeah.” Finn did not have super hearing. He maybe had above average hearing, according to Rey, who he always caught sneaking his chips, no matter where she was in their apartment.

“Wow,” Poe said, a little starry eyed.

“Yeah, so,” Finn said, taking another step back.

“Right,” Poe said. His smile dimmed slightly. “Maybe another time?”

And, because Finn was completely hopeless, he nodded and said, “Sure, yeah. I'd love to.” Which was incredibly stupid, but Poe’s grin went back up in wattage and, well, Finn was pretty much fucked, anyway.

That had been two days ago. Now, apparently, Poe was tied up in some warehouse or basement. Again. Being a reporter, Poe was always sticking his perfect nose where it didn't belong. Being Poe Dameron, he was always caught. He had a fast mouth and could talk his way out of things about 50% of the time, but it appeared this would be the other 50% of the time.

“How the hell did he get himself caught by The First Order,” Finn asked, panicked.

Rey shot him a sympathetic look. “I can take care of this alone, if you want.”

Rey was one of the few who knew about Finn’s history, but that was more because she was an ultra powerful psychic, and less because Finn had been in a sharing mood. And hadn't that been an awful two weeks in the early days. She hadn't liked his dubious background as much as he hadn't liked her crawling around in his fucking head. They got past it, though; Rey was his closest friend, and they worked as partners as often as they worked alone.

“They want me,” Finn said, clenching his jaw. They hadn't specifically asked for Rebel, because The First Order was, thankfully, run by a bunch of dumbasses, but that was just semantics.

“No, they want FN-2187. They have no idea who Rebel is, because they are a bunch of dumbasses.”

Finn slanted a suspicious look at her. “Are you reading my mind?”

Rey grinned. “No, they are just that dumb. You call yourself Rebel.”

Finn swatted at her. In a gross abuse of her powers, she made him smack his own arm.

“Anyway,” Finn said, rubbing his arm. “I won't say no to you tagging along -- ”

“‘Tagging along,’” Rey repeated, offended. “What am I, your sidekick?”

“But I'm going.”

He didn't want to. Every fiber of his being strained away from The First Order; he'd even considered leaving the country when he first got out, despite Rey’s protests. But this was Poe, and Finn had no good judgement when it came to Poe.

“Fine, fine,” Rey said, flapping a dismissive hand. “I didn't think you'd trust just anyone with your boyfriend, anyway.”

“He's not my boyfriend,” Finn spluttered.

Finn/Poe +Pilots friendship

I just want Poe 's entire crew to fall in love with precious Finn and be super protective of him and think he's the greatest, to the point that they're giving POE the shovel talk about what they'll do to him if he hurts Finn. and Finn is just bewildered because he never thought there would be people in the world who liked him that much.

The same plot of TFA, but Finn's an escaped slave not a stormtrooper. Maybe they think he is and some major miscommunication? IDK, wow me.

Bonus: Finn pretends to be a stormtrooper but they find his branding after Kylo's attack.

Super bonus: Finn didn't say anything because he was told the Resistance only takes in soldiers, not slaves.

Kylo goes into Finn's head and sees so much love and light and hope that it kind of cauterizes the dark side out of him, until he's a sobbing mess and Finn wants to hate him, but he ends up being Finn and comforting him instead, and talking about how he understands that sometimes you think there aren't things you Can come back from, but you have to try anyway. No one else trusts Kylo, but Finn's friendship helps open him up to the light again.

So let's say Poe needs to bring someone home for the holidays or his mom will try to set him up with another long list of crazy people and he is NOT about that. Enter Finn, who might be Poe's new cute coworker, or who might be some random guy he runs into, or is just a stranger who Rey throws at him to help. Either way, they're a week in and his fake relationship with Finn is the best relationship he's ever had.

Poe grew up living next to and climbing around in the Force tree Luke had his mom and dad save and transplant to Yavin. That had to have had an effect, whether it made Poe very slightly Force-sensitive, or immune to low level Force manipulation, or whether he fell out of the Force tree and hit every branch on the way down, causing unknowable future effects.

Poe/Finn or Gen: How Poe Escaped the TIE Fighter without his jacket

When Poe experiences a sudden massive increase in inertia (landing after a long fall, crashing in a ship, etc) and maybe a few other sorts of things that would kill him, he teleports. He has no control over this and is unaware he does this, just he wakes up far away from wherever he was about to die assuming he ejected or had some other perfectly logical intervention happen.

He also doesn't seem to think it's at all weird that he wakes up bollock naked.

(if anyone wants to take this a step further and turn it into a full-on Forever AU/Crossover, be my guest ;D)

GEN or Hux/Kylo Ren - General Hux's cat adores Kylo

So Pablo Hidalgo (basically the dude at Lucasfilm who keeps the canon cohesive), via his Twitter, recently said General Hux has a cat - a pretty ginger kitty named Millicent. Current interpretations at this point agree Millicent hates Kylo Ren - which is a perfectly fun interpretation!

I want to see something where Millicent adores our favorite garbage Dark Sider.

Cats will do whatever they will, and Millicent has run of the Finalizer. One of her favorite haunts is Kylo Ren's room (always locked, but she is a Cat, and she knows the ventilation ducts better than anyone) when her own human is unavailable for pettings. Kylo knows exactly whose cat she is (she has a proper collar with identifying tags), but rather than be irate, he is quietly touched that this small creatures smothers him in affection (the only he’s had in a very long time). Millicent, in turn, adores Kylo for his large, warm hands that are always gentle, always knowing exactly where and how she likes to be scratched, having an excellent lap for napping, and sneaking her treats of fresh fish. And she may or may not have a sense for when Kylo has a nightmare and needs her to curl up on his chest and purr.

Whether or not this leads to Kylux (via Millicent deciding to match make her two silly humans, perhaps?), I leave up to a potential author. Mostly I just want Kylo having a moment of happiness and snuggling with a kitty.

Gen, Any/any: First Order clones

Hux doesn't have a first name, or a mother. He's an identical clone of General Brendol Hux.

The First Order is all about copying from the Empire, but learning from their mistakes. It's cheaper to find babies to raise as Stormtroopers than to clone them. For key personnel though, it's worth it. There is a clone!Tarkin, and Hux doesn't know if he's the only clone!Hux or if there is another dozen of him. They cloned all of the best generals and leaders except Vader and Palpatine- their Sith nature corrupted their genetics beyond their ability to make viable clones, so they make do with Kylo.

Of course, when Kylo joins them and finds out that they aren't cloning just imperial generals he freaks out. He kidnaps the clone of Leia Organa who is too little to pronounce her own name properly, and hides her on Jakku where no-one will ever look for her.

I've read one or two fics now that posit Hux's mother was from Naboo. So let's say that's true. Kylo comes across the information somehow and, through actual conversation or mental prying or good old-fashioned detective work, finds out that Hux's mom is related to the Naberrie family -- which is to say, Padmé Amidala's family.

Is Kylo horrified to find that they're distantly related? Weirdly into the fact that Hux has ties to his grandmother? How does Hux feel about the situation?

Except that everyone can't stop talking about General Hux and how dreamy he is and a bit too much detail about things they'd let him do to them. Kylo would obvs be super embarrassed and then he gets jealous and tries to keep people away from Hux? Or has sexy dreams and can't look Hux in the eye anymore?

They don't care how strange their family looks to other people, it works for them and they're happy, and that's what matters.

phasma strikes me as having an archaic, important sounding name, like victoria or adelaide or helena. something very feminine and traditional (maybe it was her mother's name, or her mother's before her? where pasma's from men might take their wives names so phasma's full name would be something like Victoria Charlotte Bruenlanthe IV. she goes by phasma because old-world titles like that are looked down upon by the first order, and besides, the first three victorias in her family were noted political leaders who supported democracy and the republic and that is most certainly a Bad Thing here)

hux, meanwhile, never tells anyone his first name because it's something dumb-sounding. important generals name their kids like rockstars do, so hux's first name is something like Meteor or Exhaust-Port or Macncheese.

Finn/Poe, sports/sports journalism AU

Finn is the newbie journalist assigned to basically shadow Poe and write a profile on him for a well-known sports mag. Somehow this leads to ~love~. Finn is an undercover police officer sent in by FYI agent Ren, LAPD captain Hux and Sergeant Phasma. Rey is the genius mechanic he finds to soup up his car, and she gets dragged into this whole mess too.

Bryan from Accounting is the self-proclaimed head of the self-founded Kylo Ren Appreciation Society (fanclub). He's got all the latest Kylo Ren merchandise - pillows, posters, magazine articles, holovids, etc - and enthusiastically tries to induct Matt into the club.

...Bryan from Accounting is also General Hux's alter-ego, and the way he copes with his (frankly embarassing) crush on the Force-User.

Swimming is an entirely new concept for Rey. Luke patiently teaches her. Fluff ensues.

I'm fine with either a platonic/family or a romantic dynamic between them, but I'd love lots of trust and bonding moments between them.

If you want to go the shippy way:
+10 Luke is in good shape, being a Jedi master and everything, and Rey has a classic 'oh no, he's hot' moment when she sees him come out of the water shirtless and with the waves sparkling around him like a Bond Girl in a bikini scene
+100 it turns out both of them are awkward virgins (or just not very experienced with relationships) who don't know how to flirt
+1000 they somehow manage it anyway and it ends with slow, gentle beach sex and cuddles (let's just assume summer on Ahch-To is sunny and more than warm enough ok?)

Hux and his abusive father [tw: abuse]

I read very good fics about general Hux being publicly abused by his father yet I would love to read hurt/comfort fic about adult Hux dealing with his abusive father who is more subtle about it. Hux senior for most people seems to be a charismatic yet charming person so no one really knows that privately he abuses (beats & verbaly humiliates) his son all the time.

In short: Hux Sr. is visiting/inspecting Hux's ship and no one knows he is abusing his son. Except for Ren who thanks to the Force can feels general's absolute fear of father.
Gen or Hux/Kylo whatever suits you!

Bonus: crew adore Hux's father; they think general is a bad son for not wanting to spent a bit of time with his dad.

There's a mini fill here I read (somewhere in Round 2 - ack, check the fills post for "disappointment") that's RTYI, at least for the Kylo part.

But yeah, the subtle abuse idea is interesting. Maybe Kylo catches a glimpse of a scar or recent bruise.
