But is there an easier way on mobile to click on text links to fics (ones that aren't hyperlinked) without copy/pasting every time?
I check the Fills page every day (where are you, chapter 5 of Am I Breathing Underwater???) but lately there's been this person who keeps leaving rude comments as replies to someone's fill and I just...
Why? Why do people do that? Why can't they let people create work without coming in and sniping with a rude comment?
Saw someone else leave a rude comment on an AO3 fic I've been reading and it made my blood boil.
I'm so thankful for all of the feedback I've gotten on my work so far, but if someone came into something I've created and commented "You're disgusting" or "You keep trying. Ewww" I'd feel so shitty and discouraged, you know?

So... Is anyone else afraid Hux is going to go the way of Admiral Piett? A minor character who survives mutiple encounters with the famously choke-happy Vader, across two whole movies, only to be killed off in episode six (granted, it's in an explosion, but it's not even a BIG explosion, more like a side-note explosion. An afterthought explosion, even).
I like Hux. He's a big name in the fanatical, genocidal, xenophobic monster that is the First Order. So such a boring death would be huge a letdown. Yet I fear that's what will happen.

I nearly have a prompt that I want to submit but part of it hinges on an animal that could be present in a prison. I'm essentially looking at an animal that could double as a guard dog. There are too many animals to consider in the universe and I'm totally at a loss.
To help with the context, beyond guard dog for hire, I'm looking for an animal that would give birth comfortably indoors - or close to a prison, and would have a litter that could include a "runt of the litter." And enjoy being around humans/humanoids, since the runt will be coming across one of the prisoners.
Any help would be appreciated.

Before it comes out, I suggest trying to find and read the tie-in novel "Tarkin". It will add to your experience.
I know writing for rare pairs can be hard because you don't have as many headcanons or metas floating around for inspiration. So what are die if your favorite rare pair headcanons, tropes, ideas, etc?
There are some pairings I hate which make me feel physically ill to see, and I have the urge to be very mean towards people prompting those pairings, but I don't ever do that because I believe that a kink meme should be open to everyone equally. No pairing should be shamed.
I'm not trying to get any kind of applause for not being a dick, it's just basic fannish decency. I'm only posting this here so I calm the hell down and stop thinking like an asshole.

So I've found this happened to me three times where I've written a story in parts fairly quickly (a chapter a day) with an ending like 5/5 in the title or 4/4 so people know it's done. Then come back later and found out someone else has added on a chapter and people think it's me because the writing styles aren't wildly different.
The first time I saw it I was sort of mad because there were a lot of comments under the "bonus chapter" giving praise for that as well as the overall work. And the poster didn't mention anything in the beginning that they didn't do the whole story and in their comment replies they didn't mention that they weren't OP.
Went back to check some other posts and saw it happened two other times (different writing styes again so I don't think it's the same person) and it's really put me off posting on here. On one hand super glad my writing has inspired others. On the other hand I'm not sure how I feel about people adding on to my work as a continuation. However, the whole point of fanfiction is using other people's work (such as George Lucas) to springboard your own stories so maybe I don't really have a leg to stand on. Haha.
But I'm more than happy if they want to go off the original prompt and write their own story. Just because I did a fill doesn't mean someone else can't make their own fill.

but coming out the new x-men last week, I couldnt wait to run back to Ao3, only to remember, USA only gets it like 10 days later in theaters.
(is it something of a logic behind this , that suddenly rest of the world gets to see the major blockbuster earlier than the country of origin of the movie itsself? I mean usually, the rest of the world is afraid to be spoiled by the reviews and talks of americans, but suddenly the movies are out earlier in Europe , Russia and Asia??! I am kinda confused by this reversal).

Did some people entirely miss that Stormtroopers are abducted at birth, trained brutally to kill without question and be killed for failure or disloyalty and that none of them would ever be paid because the First Order considers them equipment rather than people, like a vehicle? Cars don't get paid, they get fed gas and maintained, that's it. And that's all they are trained or enculturated to expect. The First Order paying a Stormtrooper anything would be like issuing a paycheck to a Volvo. The 'Trooper wouldn't know what to do with it either.

I've seen a number of prompts requesting pairings with, or at least the presence of Father-General Hux. And while I've found the information through Wookiepedia helpful it's not entirely what I'm looking for. I want characterization, and it merely goes into his work history and/or legacy.
Do people base his characterization and (mostly unlikeable) personality after his history and legacy? Or are there actually books or shows that portray him? I've placed a hold on Bloodlines through my local library hoping for some kind of information.
I would not be disappointed for a Hux Sr cameo in Rogue One either.

Okay, the kinkmeme has definitely been slowing down, which is perfectly normal and expected. I've done the maths so as not to be accused of trolling:
Time between opening R4 and mid-round freeze = 9 days
Time between opening mid-round freeze and closing R4 = 8 days
Time between opening R5 and mid-round freeze = 10 days
Time between opening mid-round freeze and closing R5 = 13 days
And as anyone can see, it's been 24 days of R6 and we still haven't reached the half-way mark.
I propose no mid-round prompt freeze as I suspect it would discourage those of us who are still hanging around and merely slow things further. Thoughts?

I don't particularly ship Reylo. But I just wanted to say that as someone from the A Song of Ice and Fire fandom, it is the funniest shit to me that people sometimes use "but they might be related!!!!" as a reason Reylo is Not Good. Which I know is a terrible way to write because writing is about sitting down and just doing it and not having some muse dictate you (or at least that's what my Professor's always said).
However, I don't think I've ever actually made an outline for the fanfiction I've written and I've been doing it for ten years. It's more of a "Jesus take the wheel" moment that's worked for me and at the end the stories have a proper beginning, middle, end and natural arc and so on with a lot of research to be properly grounded. But I cannot tell you between one chapter and what happens in the next.
Does anyone else do the seat of your pants thing or do you have it all plotted out from beginning to end? Curious about what other people's styles are like.
