I second the other advice. I am guilty of doing this myself, although one of the big things with me was that I sort of fell out of love with the fandom and just couldn't force myself to finish them. But I do hope one day I can go back and at least do 1 or 2 chapters to at least try to wrap some of them up. Even if it is sentence by sentence.

I love smut scenes that are filled with desperation. Especially if they get a bit dirty. There's a good blowjob fic that was written for Finn/Poe that fits the bill but I've forgotten the title. But basically Poe gets back from a mission and is just like, 'I can't keep my hands off you' and blows Finn in a storage closet or something. I looove fics like that.

That post got so gross so fast. I don't even like the cat and I am tempted to fill it just because I feel bad for the OP to have their prompt hijacked by people like that. The mods seriously need to start bringing more people to help them.

Explain how it's gross? Granted, the poison comment was unnecessary, but the rest of it was commenters enjoying themselves as they do on many prompts. Nowhere were they insulting either the OP or the prompt itself, so I don't know what your problem is.

I know a lot of people here seem to hate humor, but people are allowed to joke around. There is no rule against that (yet).

With tfa this is tricky, but repeated viewing/consumption of the source material. You reach a point where you can hear the characters speak in your head.

For a character like Phasma, who doesn't have a ton of screen time, I would look to other sources of inspiration. Perhaps the Clone Wars series, which featuresa lot of clone trooper interaction and culture that you could build on. A lot of people are revisiting Timothy Zahns Thrawn trilogy for inspiration and references to use when writing First Order characters.

Phasma might be rather easy to work with since she doesn't have much screen time- as lkng as you work within the framework we have for the First Order, you could characterize her however you like.

I have had a lot of fun challenging myself to fill prompts I normally wouldn't. I have also really enjoyed all of the fills people have done for my prompts.

Urgh, I hate coming up with titles. And summaries. Especially since I mostly just write porn snippets - there are only so many creative ways to say "...they bone".

I love the atmosphere at the DD kink meme, but I admit I gave up when the endless waves of the same trope being used over and over got too much. I know that happens a lot on kink memes - somebody posts a really popular prompt/fill and then everyone else tries to emulate it, so you end up with pages and pages of every possible variation of the same trope - but at daredevilkink it seemed more prevalent than usual. Also, I got exasperated by how active the Daredevil side of it is, but nobody ever visits the Jessica Jones prompt post.

What do you mean, "at the expense"? They went off on a tangent, they were not mocking the prompt, or the prompter. This is not a difficult concept to grasp.

Personally I like it when a conversation (or even, gasp, jokes!) start up on one of my prompts, because it keeps it visible in flat view, and makes you more likely to get a fill, and I doubt I'm the only one.

If the OP doesn't like people interacting in their prompt thread, they can always take it to the mod. Or I guess this time you can do it on their behalf if you feel so strongly that no one should have fun here ever.

I don't think I've ever been on a more humorless kinkmeme. It's kind of shocking, considering that the source material has plenty of jokes. I guess the anti-joke brigade just seethed through all of them when they watched the movie...

It's true that TFA is nowhere near HP's level. But when you consider that HP was released over such an extended period, with years between canon updates, and a lot of fans grew up with it, then it's kind of impressive that TFA (not Star Wars in general but just TFA) already has this much ship wank since it's literally two months old.

Seconding this excellent advice - the emotions the characters are experiencing and their sense of connection is what makes the best smut interesting to me.
