My point that the Mods are specifically looking for people who have worked of Delicious archives in the past. Jesus, if you guys don't want an archive just say so. There is no need to be so negative when someone is trying to throw a positive idea out there. I don't work with Delicious or fit the requirements the mods are looking for so offered an alternative. I try to stay out of wank, but people are right to say this place is negative for no real reason.

NA I think you should take this question up with the mods. They were looking for people to work on the Delicious archive; if you offer your experience at archiving on other sites, they may jump at it and tell you to get going. Then it won't be a matter of whether or not people are interested' in another archive. It will simply be the newest addition to this kink meme, and most likely people will be happy to use it as long as it is updated frequently and is easy to use. OTOH, if the mods feel they/we will be happier sticking with the Delicious account, you will have your answer and all this will be moot anyway. Sorry, that last sentence is a little more blunt than I would like, but it is true.
That's what I mentioned in my OP which people chose to ignore before pilling up on me. I wanted to see if there was interest in a secondary archive and then as per my OP, I was going to ask the mods if they would be fine with the idea (in my other archives the mods had access to all the "main" archives--it was a large meme so some of had ship specific archives).
I don't know why people took it as an attack on the mods when I make it clear I wouldn't do this without their approval.
It doesn't matter now anyway. I won't do something people are just going to be negative about as the last thing I want is more wank connected to this theme. :)

If you are interested, ask them. Don't let what people here have sadi stop you from asking. You can mention that you've gotten some mixed reactions to the idea here on the discussion post; that way the mods can take all the facts and opinions they know of into consideration while making their decision.
That's what I meant exactly? I don't see any other meaning in my words. English is not my first language, but both express the same sentiment to me? I meant that if people were interested and wanted to take part, we would still need to get the mod's final say so it wasn't final. But I also didn't see the mods having an issue with an extra archive so it would 'likely' not be an issue.
As I said, the response was mostly negative so I don't see the point. Even if the mods were to be fine with it most of the comments took an issue so I don't want to cause trouble.
In the context in which you used it, 'likely' means 'probably', and there wasn't any 'probably' about it. You would need to ask them.
But looking at your original post, I think it was more than just that. You were pretty blunt: your subject was "a real archive" which could imply the delicious one isn't real, somehow. You declared the delicious account dead, which may be a little premature since this entire kink meme and all associated accounts are only three months old, and the mods have been asking for help with the account. These things might also have irritated some nonnies.
I'm sorry to see you're giving it up. I don't think it's a bad idea; the mods are having a lot of difficulty finding someone to help with the delicious account, and the more prompting posts and fills we have, the more there will be to catch up with later.
Your title does not help. To call your proposal a 'real' archive strongly implies that you consider the existing archive a useless fraud of an archive and implies insult on those who control it. That likely was not your intention, but it is the impression given.
Not my intention at all, just trying to give a clear idea of the connotations of some of the words used and perhaps some of the reason for people here taking offence at the op's well meant offer.
I am. I'm letting them know the connotations of what words they used and how the word choice contributed to the impression given so they have an improved sense of the social weight of the words they use next time.
Just please stop, I already explained to someone else English is not my first language and that maybe there was a misunderstanding in some of my words. I can't edit my post and I already said since no one seemed interested I am not asking the mods if they would be fine with having one. There is no need to drag this on.
