SA I will also acknowledge that last night when I originally commented I hadn't gone searching for sources. A few hours ago I did and discovered that it's from a new book. Had I looked and known I wouldn't have questioned the validity.

Tragic doesn't mean he won't live through VIII considering he could easily still die in IX. And the way you haters are so salty that you can't express your opinions without resorting to petty insults is pretty telling.

Hux is my favorite character because I like evil characters with no remorse, plus he's grown on me through the fandom. It's just really weird that there are a very vocal amount of people who get aggressively salty over people who happen to like the fictional character. I just can't understand that level of caring about something that doesn't matter when none of it is real in the first place.

Related to the thread, but I have zero clue what'll happen to Hux in the movies. He's had such a minor part in the film that maybe he'll get very little screen time at all in the upcoming film. Or he'll be killed off in an unremarkable way because tbh, he's not really that important in the grand scheme of things. (Unless there's a secret Hux/Kylo plot that'll be revealed.) *Waves Kylux fan* One can always hope.

I actually think they're just gonna kill him off in an afterthought offscreen.I like Hux a lot but such is the fate of non-force sensitive Star Wars military villains. Unless they noticed how popular he is and decided to profit from this by am ping up his presence by a tiny amount- they had more time to fit in some stuff, considering they already changed the script again.

Definitely seconding off screen after thought kill. I actually wouldn't mind reading the Kylux fic that could come from that. Where Kylo expects Hux to be there (maybe there was a surprise attack and the fleet got scrambled) and is annoyed that Hux is late, and then finding out later that Hux had been killed as an afterthought in an unremarkable way but it's not worth it to collect the body of a General who doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Here's Hux's replacement, get on with your mission.

And Kylo, hm, maybe he's first in denial because Hux can't be dead and he certainly can't be dead in such a mundane, ordinary, disgraceful way. Then there's just furious rage. Nothing dramatic or weepy or extra angst or anything, but that rage hardens and crystallizes into well honed power because if Hux can't be there then Kylo will make sure his death wasn't for nothing.

Re: the crying fangirls I was talking about - I was mostly referring to the type of fangirls who now are salty that he has a name that they didn't imagine for him. Also, the fangirls for the fic where the name Elan comes from because I had a few on my dash being extra obnoxious about it.

Person who you're replying to. I completely forgot all about that fic until right now so whoops, obviously not my own thoughts.

There is a fic over at A03 that has Hux dead (Snoke killed him) and Kylo is confused then enraged and then hones his skill and all the while Hux is brought back throughteh Force and then they reunite and then...I either lost interest because the characterization took a turn I didn't really relate to anymore or it hasn't updated in a while.
