I'm pretty sure a one-sided Kylo being into Rey is canon. Like, after he gets defeated by Rey in one-on-one Force confrontation he goes to whine at Snoke and otherwise displays none of his usual tantrum behaviours. Considering this is Kylo "Tantrum" Ren we're talking about, to me that suggests he's not really upset to have been beaten.

The next scene they meet, Kylo's trying to recruit her, rather than say, make excuses about why he lost or take out all his piss-baby feels on her. Conclusion: Kylo got his ass handed to him by Rey and would maybe like her to do it again.

Unfortunately, Rey hasn't read enough fic and doesn't realise that hate-banging is a thing, so Reylo is pretty one-sided. But I'm always happy to read the fic where Rey does come to the realisation that hate-sex has a winner and that winner is her.

NA. There are equally viable platonic interpretations of all of that (Kylo doesn't have to want to bang a powerful force user to want her as a recruit), but yeah, I can see where the shippers get it from.

IDK anything about FinnRey, but ever since the ice cream thing came out Hux has been beginning his final transformation into a pink genocidal Teletubby, Huxy Wuxy, so yeah. I guess I do ship Teletubbies :(

I enjoyed the aerobics and ice cream just as much as everyone else, but yeah. People are going to have a nasty shock when they watch episode 8.

I am not part of the FinnRey crowd, but I like both of them very much, for their teletubbie-ness, I guess? I think don't ship. I don't not ship them either.

There is no conflict in their relationship really, no hurdle to overcome.
Yeah, I know it doesn't need hurbles to overcome, but more trouble = more fanfic is generated.
In a way they are both very alike. Both had a (for most of us) strange upraising and stubbled into the centre of a war with no idea what to do.
I see parts of Luke in both of them.

That's a really good point. I thought Finn and Rey were adorable together in the movie, but there's no inherent drama in the relationship itself that I want to read or write about. I just want to wait until the next movie and see if they hold hands again.
