Unless you're a filler looking for interesting new prompts, I fail to see why your reason for leaving is worth mentioning... Or why you felt the need to tell us you were leaving at all. Is this some kind of passive-agressive way to tell people to prompt something different, or that their recent prompts suck, or something? Because you could have just said that.

It may be that way for you, but as the rest of the comments on here have shown, it's not that way for everyone.

I don't think you're wrong about gravitating to fiction or elements of fiction because they're things we like but may miss in our personal life, but I also think it's a bit more complicated than just being about relationships. Hux is my favorite character because he represents my hopes and fears for my professional life, and I 'ship him with Kylo Ren because a) most of the good Hux fics are Kylux and b) it's nice to know that you can have the respect and fear of the galaxy and also a decent sex life with someone who challenges you.

I'd never ever want a Kylux relationship, but I want a Hux career that ends with fewer explosions.

I dunno. The things we go for in fiction can reflect things we want for ourselves... or things that interest us, frighten or horrify us, make us sad... Fiction is all about evoking an emotional response, but that response is usually a lot more complicated than "yeah, I (subconsciously) want me some of that."

My main fandoms, until TFA came out, have mostly been RPF fandoms (I haven't been very active in them in recent years though).

I started writing in those fandoms because they were big non-fannish fandoms of mine and I also liked to write stories. Usually I'd come up with ideas and then figure out which personas of celebs I fancied fit the idea the best.

Due to shifting of interests, and six-degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon type connections to the people I used to write about, I've moved on. Also, I guess, more of my media fandoms having more holes for my to plug in than before kind of helps?

I'm pretty sure a one-sided Kylo being into Rey is canon. Like, after he gets defeated by Rey in one-on-one Force confrontation he goes to whine at Snoke and otherwise displays none of his usual tantrum behaviours. Considering this is Kylo "Tantrum" Ren we're talking about, to me that suggests he's not really upset to have been beaten.

The next scene they meet, Kylo's trying to recruit her, rather than say, make excuses about why he lost or take out all his piss-baby feels on her. Conclusion: Kylo got his ass handed to him by Rey and would maybe like her to do it again.

Unfortunately, Rey hasn't read enough fic and doesn't realise that hate-banging is a thing, so Reylo is pretty one-sided. But I'm always happy to read the fic where Rey does come to the realisation that hate-sex has a winner and that winner is her.
