It's honestly just a nice change of pace from the usual pairings. Not 100% sure of you are serious but not everyone can be paired with Finn or Poe. People prompt a healthy amount of Darkpilot imo and there is a seemingly dedicated Finn/Kylo, Finn/Hux and Poe/Hux fanbase on this kinkmeme. Also, there is nothing wrong with wanting to ship two white guys. It's not like it's happening at the expense of another character (for instance, it's not like there is a clear romantic subtext of Finn and Kylo but ppl are trying to make Kylux or Mitaka/Kylo a thing).

TLDR: Variety is the spice of life. This is a rarepair like all others.

Genuinely curious, how do people seem to know it is the same person posting? This has come up a few times since I started hanging around the kinkmeme and I am baffled since we are all anon? Is it post style?

+1 for genuine curiosity. I can kind of recognise some fill authors, even before they de-anon, based on pairings and writing style, but for short discussion posts, how do people do that??

They can't, they're just making assumptions about the OP. I have seen various non anon people make similar posts on other websites so it is silly to think you know who the anon is based on something so general.

He's actually done a ton of stuff, movies and shows, I'm actually surprised he's not more popular based on the actor's popularity. Yes he died (shot during Poe and Finn's escape), but that hasn't stopped fandom before.

Same wording, same complaint, same attitude. It's more comfortable to believe it's the same person than that there are several people with identical attitudes.

George Lucas used/was inspired by/(appropriated?)/played with a lot of Asian ideas and some general mythology basics in the Star Wars verse. So we have warrior monk jedi like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn and the Force. And we are blessed with Han Solo...I love Harrison Ford's Han, but he certainly doesn't look Chinese or Korean and so joins the list of "give me backstory on the origins of your name, please and thank you". I will concede that "Hans" Solo wouldn't have the same ring to it. I just wish that if, in that time long, long ago, in a galaxy far away, if ethnicity became less important than species or political affiliation, that the galactic flow of space travel would have made the slice of life/societies we get more interesting.
