What would all of you say each character's biggest flaw is? I want to mature as a writer and have more depth, but I'm clueless. Halp!
Honestly, I don't think we were given enough characterization in the movie to determine weaknesses for most of the new characters.

I look at the fills post a lot and I make an effort to comment on people who post in old rounds because bless their hearts. Round one fillers (especially the person who filled my round one prompt even when round 3 was happening) are just the best!
He's said something similar before, and the same goes for casting different races, but I'm betting it's either going to be one of the new characters or someone in the spin off movies, since it wasn't specific whether it'd be in the main series or something like Rogue One.
I know people in fandom have already run with it as evidence that Poe is gay, but as much as I would like that to be true, I don't think it will be.

It's probably still Phasma. There was an article about a year ago announcing she was intended to be a lesbian, but the majority of the fandom missed it.

I take anything J.J. Abrams says with a grain of salt. I like him and his movies and tv shows, but he's the type of person who has huge ideas that never end up happening because he either gets bored and moves on to the next thing or they somehow fall to the wayside.
tbh i think there's a lot of great characterization in "before the awakening" that the movie kind of side-steps.

I work for a film festival! I do fundraising, but I do get to get sneak previews of good things and hear a lot of buzz about what's coming out. Every once in a while I get to meet an actor or actress that I'm super into, too.
I have never, ever seen such wank on another kinkmeme. The mods do a fine job imo but literally every two page there's a horribly nasty comment to start a fight.

Honestly, I don't understand why the mods don't delete the comments instead of screening them or posting a warning.
I think the average age for this fandom is a lot younger than Hannibal fandom.
By day I teach English as a second language to adults, by night I'm a fitness/martial arts instructor (also to adults). I like them both a lot!

I'm not saying it's causation, I'm just pointing out that it's a difference because the OP said the populations are likely similar. People in this kink meme are younger and wank more, not necessarily younger and hence wank more.
Maybe, but it's more guessing because there's really no way to know if they're younger.
I'm trying to find a similar fandom - maybe the sherlockkinkmeme? I only remember occasional wank, whereas there was plenty on tumblr.
I'm very confident in my guess, not even just based on the content of the meme but also based on the content of the canon.
