When writing a multi-chapter/section fill, how do you best convey that information on the Fills Post? (A single post with additional threaded comments each time you post an update, separate 'new chapter' update posts every time, wait until the whole thing is done and then post it, etc.)

i know that in the prompt meme, we are suppose to go anon, except for the fillers, but i am unsure for the rules here?

i actually wanted to discuss serious stuff (like how messed up i am for shipping kylux, and how i can identify with both eg one killing his father, and the other being mass murderer, but i am currently somewhat ill, so no seriousness today..)
so off to the core of why disney snatched SW, very likely not for the love of the force, but for the billions of EURO, Dollar, Yen, Yuan, and whatever currency, they are making, and are going to make :D

so far, i have not really been on a shopping tree, just TFA toothbrushes, and folders (yep, the real hardcopy kind of, where i can put my favorite kylux fics, that i printed, inside).

what else did you got?

I bought a Poe Dameron t-shirt, where you see him with his helmet, and him without the helmet in his flight suit (I think it's taken from a movie still where he's actually running towards Finn too!). BB-8 is on the shirt too.

So with you there. I love Finn/Poe & Finn/Poe/Rey but every time I check out a fic, it's like I'm reading the same thing over and over again. Also, I'm getting really fed up with the fandom's hang-up on Poe, while I'm not really all that interested.

In contrast, Kylux is hella kinky & there's enough fic with my favorite dynamic (dominant!hux for anyone keeping score).

Hux, Kylo Ren and Rey action figures. I'll probably have everyone eventually. I've been collecting Star Wars action figures for years.

I also bought Poe's Lego x-wing, which is now the coolest thing sitting in my living room. I really want one of the new TIE fighters too so I have a little fleet.

It did, but if you had a big friends list, you still got wank or stuff from different fandoms without the ability to block anything. The one thing I do like about tumblr is the ability to block by tags. With LJ you had to create a filter and the filters were by users, not fandoms or tags.

It still had the same frenzy as tumblr, but it was more focused on words than pictures.

None. I don't rally understand the point of movie merchandise, and don't have any for any movie. But you do you!

I save my favourite fics to a kobo reader instead of printing them, but I do get s really satisfied sense of "there, now I'll have it forever even if the author deletes" when I do it.

I don't really have the money to spend (heating bills in the winter are brutal), but I really like the BB-8 scarf. It's cute.

I don't buy a lot of merch, so when I do I like it to be something useful, like clothing or a bag or scarves. I think the only other piece of fan merch I have is a Harry Potter house scarf.

I was three lines in on the crawl when I got pissed off (General Leia Organa, what the FUCK) and I spent the whole movie going, "JUST SAY HIS NAME. IS THIS SOMEONE I KNOW? FUCK. IT'S NOT."

And I had problems with Poe's magic realspace conversion from the first time I saw it. :|

You can always go through the tags of other fandoms and do the same thing.

The other option is to backtrack posts you like on your dash to other tumblrs. If someone reblogs something you like, see who they reblogged it from. Most tumblrs aren't monolithic. A lot are going to reblog some stuff of their otp, mixed in with all their other fandoms and interests. Find ones with multiple shared fandoms, and then if they're reblogging some quality content of a different genre (vines of cats wearing hats) follow who they're getting that content from.

Tip: You want to check the first two pages of a person's tumblr before following them though so you aren't filled with regret when you realize later that 90% of their tumblr is actually homestuck.

Personally, I would suggest trying the e-book or getting it from the library-- I found it to be worth reading once for the additional details and the insight it gave me into where people were getting their headcanons/fanfiction details from, but it was overall pretty underwhelming and didn't seem worth having around to read twice.

As an anon said, this post does not need a thread discussing which real life genocide was more tragic. Thus, I'm screening this whole thread.
