Yeah, it's only been released in hardcover and as an e-book.

Personally, I would suggest trying the e-book or getting it from the library-- I found it to be worth reading once for the additional details and the insight it gave me into where people were getting their headcanons/fanfiction details from, but it was overall pretty underwhelming and didn't seem worth having around to read twice.

Reading large amounts of text on screen is a major migraine trigger for me so I can't do e-books. It's driving me nuts, because I've been a fan of Alan Dean Foster since the 80's and the Spellsinger series.

Also, I don't mind spending $12 on a novel, but if I do, it damn well better be a physical book.

Admittedly, I haven't sat down to read the whole thing -- I've only read the early parts with Poe for ~research -- but it was kind of disappointing having been written by ADF.

Sigh.

I totally get that about e-books, I can't read them at all.

I poked around a bit and it seems like you can get the paperback online from the UK.

Depends where you are. I have a paperback copy because it wasn't released in hardback in my country.

Was it an English language release, and if so, which country? I'd like to try to get one.
