This is honestly the only way I can see Hux get a happier not dead ending besides him taking over the galaxy with his space nazi ways.

I’m so, so sorry in advance for how dark this is. I love Kylo and just really need to cry a lot.

Kylo has returned to the light side and Leia has decreed that he won’t be executed. Certain people* within the Resistance are very angry that he’s been ‘let off easy.’ They really, really want him to suffer and die, but they can’t do anything about it openly. So they decide to drive him to the point where he does it for them.

This gang of people harasses & abuses him—including raping him—for an extended period of time without anyone knowing. They hound every insecurity he has—that he’s evil, a monster/freak, ugly, unlovable, that he was never wanted, that he doesn’t deserve to be redeemed. They tell him that no one will believe him if he tells anyone, and if he fights back in any way it’ll be his word against theirs as to who instigated it.

He becomes convinced they’re completely right about how he’ll never be worthy of redemption/love and kills himself.

+Rey has been helping Kylo with his rehabilitation and she knows that he’s starting to mentally deteriorate again, but doesn’t know why because he prevents her from accessing his thoughts.
++When Rey feels him die she gets hit with a flood of his feelings and realizes what’s been happening.

*Please do not include any of the heroes in the group torturing him.

Via Force Shenanigans, experimental technology, etc. General Hux is (temporarily) transformed into a kitten.

Kitten!Hux wasn't quite sure what to expect when he was re-introduced to Millicent.

He most definitely wasn't expecting Millicent to be the most diabolical, cold-blooded, scheming individual he has EVER come in contact with.

Millicent has /plans/, you see. She's already the undisputed queen of the Finalizer. She 'arranged' for the only other mouser on board to be spaced in a 'tragic accident'. The stormtroopers adore her. The officers sneak her treats. Soon, she shall expand her sphere of influence - all the cats of the First Order shall tremble before her!

...basically, Millicent is the cat counterpart of Palpatine - she has Imperial Ambitions.

+Millicent adopts kitten!Hux as her own. To an outsider, it looks obscenely cute, but they're actually plotting together.

+Millicent shows kitten!Hux how to make every human on the Finalizer fall befor ethe power of big eyes and a questioning 'mew'.

+Millicent suggests that Hux seduce that 'clumsy overgrown murder-kitten', ie Kylo Ren.

"clumsy overgrown murder-kitten" is the best description of Ren I've ever heard. Seconded!

P much what it says on the tin. Luke gets ~*Force feelies*~ that ~*a dark Force presence*~ has taken root in one of the still standing temples and sends Rey on a journey to test her skills and learn more about the Jedi.
She lands the Falcon and goes on a walk and finds old as balls Darth Maul (cause the power of the dark side and straight up fury can keep a dude alive for one hell of a long time,) chilling in the temple like an old master, drinking tea and reading decrepit scrolls. When Rey tells him to get his Sith ass out of there so she can study (and yes a desert rat like her can in fact read,) he dodges the question and offers her tea.

P much I wanna see some vaguely Yoda&young Luke bullshitting and Jedi teaching but with Rey and this wrinkly old Darth Cockroach I mean Maul.

+they practice with staffs cause Rey doesn't have a dual saber like Maul, Maul still has all the moves but then he throws out his hip and Rey has to punch it back into place for him. Yay ageing.
+++++++After completing her training and before Maul peaces out à la fading Jedi, he gives her his dual saber and some new kyber crystals so she can change it from red to a colour of her choosing ("you always have a choice, the Force is more gray then black and white my apprentice," "I'm not your apprentice," "whatever")

THIS RIGHT HERE THIS MANNNN

The New Republic is mostly comprised of "humans" who've bred with various non-human races, giving rise to the alpha/beta/omega dynamic. The First Order are "pure humans" who find this whole "going into heat" thing to be barbaric and unnatural (not to mention inefficient). This leads to conflict.

Kylo Ren is an Omega, from his father's side, and becomes an absolute whore for attention when he's in heat.

Hux is having none of this "seduced by pheromones" bullshit that this disgusting halfbreed is doing.

They fall in love, and it's a mess for EVERYONE involved.

+ Ren started out an Alpha, but the lack of viable mates made his body pull a clown fish on him.
+ Hux finds out Omegas LEAK when they're in heat, and oh god, use a sanitary cloth, Ren!
+ They realize Hux' lack of a knot is going to be a Problem. Contraband Republic toys to the rescue!
++++ Hux DOES NOT have the stamina to satisfy an Omega in heat. He just doesn't.

Clearly, Ren held the head in his mouth by its hair, and shook that bitch like a dog with a rat.

All of Hux's best and worst decisions have been made while inebriated. He's still waiting to see which way fucking Ren ends up being, but might as well keep on with it until he's sure. Like. Really sure. It'd be a shame to stop, y'know, just in case it was a good decision.

+ Starkiller was the result of a bender
+ Hux's 24 hour whirlwind marriage and divorce of Poe Dameron
+ at least one regrettable tattoo (++tramp stamp +++++it's the deathstar rendered in exacting detail +++++++ the deathstar was used to cover up the older, more regrettable grand moff tarkin portrait)
+ One very illegal and very contraband and very popular holo of Hux stripping while quoting uniform regulations
+ hungover!Hux is honestly his most vicious and lethal form, rarely seen and widely feared. Planets have been conquered with extreme prejudice. Please keep your voice down.
+ Trying to impress Ren with Hux's sweet blaster trickshots and ~~accidentally~~ helping discover his laser stopping powers
+ Phasma's promotion to captain after she drank him under the table (top 3 best decisions easy)
+ Hux's second whirlwind marriage/divorce of Poe Dameron, now only 19 hours.

Just every time he drinks Something ends up happening. Extra bonus of the FO command know and use it.

That would be so creepy, your life being compared to your parents' dysfunctional relationship all the time...

It can go anywhere from here as long as jumpy, laughy, embarrassed Kylo is a thing! Does whoever found out use the knowledge against him? Does he have a secret kink for someone making him feel weak? Does he Force choke the shit out of whoever dared? Up to you!

Cockroach Maul becomes everyone's weird, kinda scary, sorta prejudiced (he still goes by Darth as a title he's still p Sith just a lil more chill abt it,) great granduncle that offers stellar advice at deeply inoppourtune times in between what could only be quantified as months of mutisim.
He thinks Kylo Ren is a punk bitch and Rey shows great pomise, now if only her knuckleheaded boyfriends would quit making mooneyes at eachother and get on with it that would be fantastic cause frankly its sickening to watch.
