Nnnnn I can totally see this. Baby Poe busting his ass to get in pilot school partially cuz it would be embarrassing to be Shara's son and suck. Teen Poe naturally filling out on the chubbier side and having to up the weights big time and lower his caloric intake to stay within the republics flight school ideal build for humanoids. Adult Poe watching self help holovids in the middle of the night on how to be a leader and how to be confidence. Never correcting people who think he's a natural. As always, I wish I could write. I would do this one in a heartbeat

Finn has never had to think about his sexuality, but he's not completely oblivious. He had a crush on Rey when they met, which felt right.

But now that he's struggling to find his place on the Resistance Base with no Rey in sight, he's having a brand new problem: Poe Dameron.

Poe is doing everything short of holding Finn's hand through all the dramatic lifestyle changes he's currently undergoing (sometimes he holds his hand too!!) he gives Finn a place to sit at mealtimes, introduces him to his friends, talks with all of Finn's superiors to make sure they treat him gently, etc. Poe is Finn's guardian angel for his shaky first weeks on the base.

Finn doesn't recognise at first that the warm tingling feeling he gets around Poe is a crush. He doesn't understand why people laugh when he asks where Poe is, or why they comment on the two of them holding hands or spending a lot of time together (isn't that what buddies do?)

It's not until Finn sees Poe with someone else, kissing or fucking or flirting, that the penny drops.

Cue lovelorn lost puppy Finn coping with a) not being as straight as he thought and b) his first real heart strangling crush, and all the cute oblivious awkwardness that comes with it.

Luke and Rey are the last remaining Jedi and since the Jedi actually becoming extinct would be disastrous, they have to reproduce as a baby with two incredibly force sensitive parents would undoubtedly be a Jedi. Cue Rey being shocked at first and Luke reassuring her that she doesn't have to do this but then she finds herself wanting to- really wanting to. Give me Luke going all gooey whenever he sees Rey cradling her bump and Rey hitting Finn for acting really weird about it (Poe thinks it's great, he's got a soft spot for kids). And Leia being so shocked but ultimately happy that her brother has finally got something like she had.

(Obviously my headcanon for this is that Rey isn't a Skywalker but whatever floats filler's boat...)

“A tall Stormtrooper and a short princess walk into a bar,” Maz muttered.

The bad joke wrote itself really.

Two figures stood silhouetted in the doorway of her cantina.

The graying hair of one barely rose to the bottom of the other’s broad chest.

“I don’t understand why you wanted to meet here,” Phasma complained. “It’s falling down around us and full of spies.”

Leia’s response was too low for Maz to hear but soon enough the general caught sight of her and hurried in her direction, leaving the Captain to hover impatiently several feet behind her.

“Maz,” Leia greeted her with a hug. “I see you’ve been busy.”

The place was being put back together nicely thanks to a few centuries of favors being called in.

“And I see you haven’t brought tall, dark, and furry with you.”

“No.”

Leia’s answer was simple, but the weight behind it wasn’t lost on Maz. Too many people feeling guilty over the choices of one boy, she thought. None of them wise enough to realize his path had been decided long before a scruffy smuggler and his much more attractive copilot met a princess and her short brother.

She shakes her head and shrugs, “Grief.” What could she say, except, “Tell him I could take his mind off that.”

Maz peered over at the Captain. The girl could be handsome if she’d quit sneering and change careers.

Maz elbowed Leia in the ribs and whispered, “You could take your mind off that.” She nodded in Phasma’s direction, took another good look at her and called out, “How tall are you, girl?”

Phasma’s eyes scanned the space around herself to see what “girl” Maz was yelling at.

Maz plopped three fizzing drinks onto the table, shoving one to Leia and another to Phasma. She took the last for herself and raised it in salute: “To Han.”

Leia tilted her glass towards Maz and smiled.

Phasma looked at hers like it was a viper about to strike.

“I don’t drink.”

“I’m so surprised,” Leia said.

Maz downed her drink in one big gulp.

“Everyone drinks,” she said, clinking the glass down on the table before weaving into the crowd of patrons.

“General Solo? That person died a long time ago, but Han, more recently.”

“The last I saw of him, he was pushing me into a garbage chute at blaster point.”

“That sounds remarkably like the way I met him.”

“His name is Finn.”

“FN-2187 was a traitor.”

“He’s made a full recovery.”

“I failed in his training, a mistake I will not repeat.”

“Well, whatever you did, the Resistance thanks you. He’s turning into a remarkable pilot.”

“FN-2187 is not a pilot.”

“Chromium salvaged from the great Emperor’s Naboo yacht . . . .You see something wrong with displaying your allegiance with pride?”

“A little on the nose.”

“Perhaps it’s because you have chosen the wrong side.”

“I don’t think so.”

“You wear nothing anymore . . . nothing to proclaim your heritage.”

“I don’t need a costume to remember Alderaan. Or how it was destroyed.”

“I wasn’t referring to that planet of trifling bureaucrats. . . . Still you chose being a military leader over politics; that speaks in your favor.”

Phasma leaned closer as Leia’s small hand circled her throat.

Maz cleared her own throat. She slipped her goggles into place.

Two sets of eyes, one blue and one brown, looked up at her.

Two sets of cheeks flushed.

Both glasses in front of them were empty.

“Why don’t you get a room for your ‘diplomatic relations’?”

Poe works at a café that Hux frequents. Hux is pessimistic, rude, unsmiling. Poe is the opposite and makes it his personal mission to be as obnoxiously upbeat as possible (it's not exactly a big change from his usual self) just to annoy Hux. Hux hates him, but Poe makes a good coffee so he doesn't rise to Poe's teasing.

One night Poe is mugged and beaten by a gang who turn out to be Hux's friends (Phasma and Kylo or modern version of stormtroopers lol). The next day at the shop, he's less chipper than usual and Hux notices his black eye/bruised face, and hates himself for wondering/being concerned.

Hux comes back with his friends during Poe's shift, and there's an awkward meeting between them and Poe when they recognise each other from the mugging. Leading to Hux picking a side but to everyone's surprise, he picks the side of his hatefully optimistic barista.

I prompted one like this a while back but that doesn't mean I don't want it still! I will read every version of this fic and I love your ideas

I love everything about this, but especially that last bonus.

As it says in the title, Poe often comes back from a mission with company: he finds injured creatures and nurse them back to health, rescues damaged droids and fix them before finding them a partner, gets more stormtroopers to deflect...It just keeps happening, even if Poe is not actively trying to do it, it's just that have you all seen this poor cute thing, all alone in that godforsaken planet, he just couldn't leave it all alone in there.

Finn is both baffled and amused that his boyfriend is apparently a disney princess who has an army of grateful cute animals and lil droids following him everywhere as if he were a mother hen.

I've seen plenty of fics where Kylo forces himself on an unwilling Poe (not surprising, given torture scene). I feel like, for cosmic balance or some shit, it would be interesting to see that dynamic flipped on its head.

Maybe Poe gets a chance at revenge and takes it. Maybe Kylo tries to redeem himself, only to discover not everyone fighting on the supposed side of the Light is as good as they initially appear. Anything along those lines works, or if you choose to head in a different direction, so long as it fits with the first paragraph of the prompt.

I was gonna say I'd rather not see other characters finding out and reacting, but then I realized, fuck it, I'm a glutton for pain, so yeah, I guess I /would/ like to see that also.

“Brought a friend along to help you through?” Poe drawls, “Emotional support?”

Even when kidnapped and tied to a chair for what he assumes to be another round of extreme mental torture, Poe finds it easy to play the smart-ass. Hux laughs.

lmao i clearly don't know how linking works but you get the idea.

The first order doesn't exactly encourage it's members to take time to explore their gender and figure out who they are. Finn was never comfortable with their assigned gender but didn't know there were other options until leaving the stormtroopers and seeing more of the universe. So Finn learning about being trans and what that means to them.

This could be trans girl Finn or trans boy Finn or genderqueer Finn. As long as Finn is trans I'm good.

Finn/Poe would be awesome but really any pairing or none at all is fine.

If you live long enough, you see the same eyes in different people. I'm looking at the eyes of a man who wants to run.

WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? Familiarity? Resemblance to someone she knows? Actualfax reincarnation? Just, somebody please flesh this out,and explain the clicky eyeglasses thing.

If this involves the Resistance hanging around Takodana helping Maz rebuild then I am on board with that, since it's kind of their fault it was blitzed in the first place.
