Huh, that's what I thought too. I don't know why, but it surprises me that they're putting out feature films that are franchise spin-offs rather than just new Episodes. But it makes sense that they'd want to diversify the markets they're targeting to the way Marvel is doing.
Because theyre filling in other parts of the universe / Timeline, keeping the actor costs down, avoiding episodic burnout. Rogue one is set just before the OT it looks like, I just hope the lead character has more development than 'spunky teen rebel'
