This needs to be a fanfic. Except he's trying to get Rey/Luke/Finn/etc. because it's just not the same if you do it yourself you know. Plus Grandpa Anakin lost his (twice) in epic battles.
Re: Who do you think will keep the Skywalker tradition?
Every time he's defeated in battle he closes his eyes and hopefully sticks his hand out. The fact that it doesn't get cut off just adds insult to injury
Re: Who do you think will keep the Skywalker tradition?
In the middle of a battle scene next movie he's doing a ridiculous spin and deeply cuts his wrist. He is super excited. "I am my grandfathers true heir!"
The people he's fighting sneak off as he's calling up Phasma and Hux to tell them the good news. "Yeah, no, it's probably going to get infected and fall off. And you guys said I was dumb for ordering all those bad ass prosthetics in advance."
They're both yelling at him to stop rubbing dirt in his wound and chase after the enemy. He's like, "I have to come home and tell grandfathers helmet/crushed skull immediately!"

Meanwhile there's a medic droid or two hovering around after him going "It'll be fine, really, a day or two with a bactacast and you'll never know there was an injury!"
The second medic droid flies placidly over the smoking, lightsaber-cleaved remains of the first droid and says absolutely nothing.
