However, it's easy to find the list of THINGS that are canon. Not so easy to figure out what EVENTS will be canon when more material comes out. Everything that has already "happened," until it is directly contradicted, could still be on the table.
True, thinks can be changed in the future. But I think that for now things like Clone Wars/Rebels are not going to be affected because those two things at least seem to currently be worked very closely with Disney and LucasFilm, and considering how tied in The Marvel Cinematic Universe is with the movies, TV series and Netflix series, I think Disney would be very on top of it.
If anything I would say the books and maybe the comics can be in a more grey area. But also, it seems even then at least Aftermath and Before the Awakening should be fine. And people connected events, characters from the Battle of Jakku as easter eggs from Battlefront in TFA, so I think for now that is also an accurate source.
K, all the books that come out now without the "Legends" heading on them are unequivocally canon. As are the comic books. Clone Wars and Rebels cartoons - also canon.
I've been in the EU for 17 years, I've got a firm grasp on what SW considers to be canon. It's the events in the old canon that could still come into play that have me in limbo. And nothing that is canon now will lose out to old canon.
And until all the new movies and books come out, I'm not going to know what's "real" and what's "legend."
