i'm thinking rey and finn as hufflepuffs. rey because she certainly is patient and loyal waiting for her family to come back.

finn because he's not exactly brave in the gryffindor way - wants to run away and keep his friends safe. i don't think he's a slytherin though, because he's not very cunning or ambitious at all. so, typical cinnamon roll hufflepuff.

poe is definitely a reckless headstrong gryffindor, no question about it.

I've got to say no to a Hufflepuff Finn. He's not loyal enough for Hufflepuff because he defected. Loyal doesn't have to be loyal to good things, just loyal. (And also the reason I was pissed about the lack of incredibly loyal, fanatical Hufflepuff Deatheaters, I mean, come on). Whereas it took a lot of courage for Finn to rebel against everything he ever knew and everything he was ever taught. Rey is Hufflepuff though. Possibly the most Hufflepuff ever.

The lack of Hufflepuff Death Eaters might be because Voldemort and the other DEs didn't want 'em. Hufflepuff is looked down on by the other houses, Voldemort built his power base in Slytherin, and reinforcing loyalty through in-group/out-group dynamicsis what Voldemort does. He'd probably welcome Hufflepuffs among the rank and file, but not his inner circle.
