What are you talking about? Disney marathons and codependent cuddle piles are 100% in character.

WHY. IS. SUCH A SPECIFIC THING. AS DISNEY MARATHONS. SO UBIQUITOUS ACROSS THE ENTIRE FANDOM???!?!?!

I could genuinely see Tony trolling Thor by showing him Disney movies and telling him they are the epic sagas of Midgaardian history.

I back button so quick whenever this pops up in a fic or a meta post.

When this first started to become fanon I was really surprised because it's pretty clear that the Avengers don't hang out together and aren't really friends outside of work. But I guess fandom will ignore characterization to make them all codependent besties.

The only character I can see having movie marathons is Steve (and Jane and Darcy, but that's completely different), but that's more because I think he'd want to catch up on what he missed and lbr before TWS, he had no friends and his life was pretty much going to work and coming home and being lonely so he probably had a bunch of free time on his hands.

IIRC, the Disney movie headcanon came from someone who figured that Steve saw Snow White when it first came out before WWII and was amazed by it and appreciated it because he was also an artist and probably looked up the movie once he was unfrozen out of some sense of nostalgia or had someone from SHIELD recommend Disney as part of his catching up on modern culture lecture. Predictably, it exploded from there because fandom can't leave anything alone.

I've had actual adult friends invite me over to "cuddle and watch Disney movies." I usually decline, but...it's a thing now.
