Even after reading the script, I think it could go either way. I kept thinking back to Pacific Rim and how all signs pointed to Raleigh and Mako getting together, but the movie left it open at the end for romance or friendship.

I think I would be seriously put off if there was a Poe/Rey romance because where the freak did that come from????

Considering the distance of the flight to Luke's island thingy, she's spent a hell of a lot more time with Chewie.

If not for the age difference, I would be totally cool with Rey/Chewie, although I ship Chewie/Leia more.

How old is Chewie anyway? He was an adult in that prequel cameo, that was 20 years pre-OT, and the new set is 30 years post OT, so he's at least 70 assuming Wookies age anything like humans do.

Wookiees have an average lifespan of 400 years; they do not, in fact, age anything like humans do.

Good to know. So how old is Chewbacca, in Wookie age? If he was 70 standard years he'd be about 15 in maturity, so he's probably older, right?

He's 200 years old in episode 4, so by the time of TFA he's about 234 years old. So he's about middle aged in maturity?

Except average human lifespan is more like 80 years than 100, so he might be closer to 46-ish.

Well if we're going there, then we might as well assume that 400 is the standard lifespan for all species and Rey is an embryo compared to Chewie.
