Wait, but aren't the directors already confirmed? The one for the 8th episodes is the one who made Looper and some of the best episodes of Breaking Bad which I would love, because I bet it would be really character-driven, deep and darker. (The one for the last movie is the director of Jurassic World though... :o )
Yeah, the directors are already confirmed. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed Looper, so I trust that VIII will turn out character-driven and unique, if the way the director handled Looper is any indication.
