This series. The first one, which is just 3 chapters, is very, very good, but the SECOND ONE. CEASEFIRE. I actually started it first because I didn't realize there was one before it, and it is just...it is mindblowingly good. It is one of the very best fics in the entire fandom, if not one of the best I've ever read anywhere. And the chapters are long as FUCK and ugh, it's just so great.
I JUST READ THE THIRD CHAPTER THIS MORNING. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THAT FIC AND THE ONE BEFORE IT.
I really appreciate when authors give villains emotions without erasing the bad stuff they've done. It's a very well written fic and very complex. It's inching its way up my list of favorites fics across all fandoms, and it's definitely one of my favorite TFA fics.
I agree it's really well written, but I'm actually having some issues with the sequel. I loved the first story, but I'm finding the sequel tends to tread into the magical healing love trope and edges a bit too much into trying to justify Kylo and Hux's actions by pointing the blame at someone else.
But that could be because I made the mistake of reading the author's replies to reviews and tumblr posts and that soured me somewhat on the fic.
