Probably the same reason mcu fandom went batshit over Loki. He's a murderous, powerful white dude with dark, flowy Disney princess hair who sometimes has emotions that make people believe they can save him with ~the power of familial love~
I'm pretty sure it's exactly for these reasons (pretty, white, powerful, messy moral alignment) that I really want to see him beat to hell and crying so much?
I get to feel mostly unguilty about it and he hurts attractively imo?
