Because people are animals, and hate is addictive. Especially when it's "justified" or some shit. Honestly, getting involved in fandom drama for ANY reason (yes, even if it's in support of a friend, or to combat hateful actions - it will ALWAYS end this way) is wasted energy. Just keep scrolling, give the people you care about an open ear, and don't get involved.
