This is actually one of the reasons I dislike tumblr. People tend to take other people's posts and add onto them, sometimes in a way that diminishes or ruins the intention of the original post. I've seen it happen one too many times where someone writes a post about Characters A and B, and someone turns it into a post about Characters A and C instead. Or it'll be a post about "Pairing A/B are cuddling on a cold day" and someone will turn it into "But imagine Pairing A/B cuddling because one of them was hurt and they needed comfort".
For filled prompts I didn't particularly enjoy, I'll usually add a short comment thanking the OP for filling it anyway. I figure it's an anon meme, so I'd rather leave a comment for the author than hurt their feelings by not acknowledging the fill.
