In my experience in other fandoms, Shipping is insisting two or more characters ought to be fucking and anyone who doesn't see the possibility or thinks a different set of characters ought to be fucking is an idiot or worse. This is why I don't ship anyone ever.

Dude, that's a bit like not eating sugar because Hitler did...

Only if Hitler was really obnoxious about it, like eating white sugar being the one true way to Aryanism and anyone eating brown sugar or honey was a moronic fuckface wallowing in their own history of self-hatred. Kind of puts one off.

If you replace "eating sugar" with "not smoking", than that's exactly what happened.

Except smoking can kill you. Maybe going vegan, or only buying "organic" foods would be more accurate to the levels of "moral superiority" involved.

Hitler was also a vegetarian, and made a big deal about not eating "fancy" food because the German ppl were starving and he didn't think it was right.

So, not dissimilar to food fads and food-based moral superiority on the left today.

Sugar can kill you too.

It was a reference to the trope "Hitler ate sugar," thank you very much. *faux snobby voice*

That's a sub-Godwin's trope.
