The whole prompt revolves around Ren trying to buy something to remember his grandfather by at auction, but being thwarted by fellow bidder Hux, so it's pretty far removed from the actual crimes committed during WWII.
Honestly, if this is just lead-in for, idk, Kylux bickering, I don't think that makes it better. If you're going to bring in real life atrocities it demands careful and respectful treatment, and it can be fraught to put it front and center in any story, even a well-researched novel. I feel like if you're bringing in Naziism and the Holocaust for background flavor for Star Wars fic, it's almost impossible not to do it cheaply.

AYRT. Is there a way you could translate the basic idea to a less real world context? Like Kylo and Hux meeting at an auction in a Star Wars canon divergence AU?

DA - I mentioned in another comment that honestly I think you could do this in-verse and it would make a lot of sense without risking offending people who have a history with WWII.
