Anon you were talking about here, just wanted to remind you that my post started with me saying I needed to be more specific - I get coy about this stuff sometimes and I've realised that essentially, if I don't want pegging I've got to say I don't want pegging.

ABO has been growing on me because of this meme, but I don't think I will ever not laugh at people calling kids "pups" in any serious form. I'm sorry, I just can't. xD It's even more awkward when said in what is supposed to be a sexy scene, "You're going to have my pups/litter", all I'm imagining is an actual litter of adorable puppies.

NAYRT: Since they almost never refer to them as buttholes (why do writers call butts "entrances?" They're technically "exits!"), I like to imagine they have a magical pseudo vagina crammed in there somewhere. It makes about as much sense as female alphas being able to impregnate anyone, after all.

Looking for a beta to read my longfic, Kylo Ren / Hux pairing, Academy pre-TFA story. Rating mature, will be a little sappy, very angsty, is already 25k+ words long. Grammar and spelling should be mostly fine except for the occasional derp moment and some slip-ups in tenses. Mostly looking for input on plot, pacing etc, so experienced beta would be appreciated. thanks!

So, unless those freaky Midiclorian alien beings somehow inseminated Shmi Skywalker with their God-like alien-microbe sperm, and instead just induced pregnancy, Anakin would technically be a clone of his mother. I mean, that's just how nature WORKS. Without a secondary DNA donor to mix things up, Ani would have to be genetically identical to his mother, his birth a form of mammalian parthenogenesis. Only, you know, developed as a male in the womb.

So, if Vader was half alien, that would explain how powerful he was, and his descendants are.

But if he was a naturally occurring clone of some kind, then wouldn't that mean Shmi was also Force sensitive?

Or was he some other, third option? Like, a parasitic humanoid that developed like a "normal" human fetus, but was completely unrelated to his mother, implanted by "the Force"..? Did somebody roofie Shmi and rape her?

I'm pretty sure this was all hand-waved away as a "miracle of the Force" in the movies, but I'm genuinely curious where the hell Vader actually came from!

OP - technically yes, but the Force is also hereditary, so the parasites could conceivably come from the mother. Which makes more sense than "alien microbes with psychic powers inserted themselves into an unborn, fatherless fetus, because reasons."

May I ask why? I don't mean to pry I am just curious because I would think that gen friendship is something that is included canonically and is the root of a lot of the reason why people love these movies.

Is it that you feel excluded on memes like this which veer more towards people requesting fiction involving sexual scenarios? Or is it the shipping side of fandom?

The whole thing is Jesus metaphor bullshit anyway. While I'd love there to be a dramatic reveal sometime in episode 8 or 9 that actually Anakin's dad was a barback in a Mos Eisley cantina and Shmi made up the Force birth stuff to cover her past as a bit of a slapper, I doubt they'll deal with that bullshit in the films.

When I read fanfic, I guess I want to read more that seems like in the movies/shows, but more intense maybe? Exploring how far the characters would go for each other on the strength of their bond of friendship or team or family. That or the universe equivalent of a case-fic.

I have nothing against pairings, I do read some pairings sometimes in most fandoms and there is really great stuff out there. I just prefer stories that aren't based on a romantic or sexual relationship. On memes I do prompt gen and write gen, but when I feel isolated seeing all the sex and romance prompts and so little gen or open to gen. I don't wish there were less pairing and sex based prompts and fills at all, I just wish there was more gen, and that there were recc lists for gen stories.

I don't care about actor gossip and whether they're dating someone IRL, but I do like fiction about the dynamics of casts and bands. I've worked on sets, and it's a fun setting to explore relationships in. There's a weird camaraderie that builds up in that context where you're forced together very intimately and isolated from other people outside of the group.

A lot of RPF basically reads like original romance novels full of tropes (yay!) or like a low stakes mundane AU of canon (yay?).

For example, I find both Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson really attractive. I thought they had fantastic chemistry in Ex Machina and whenever they're at a press thing together. I don't find Hux attractive. Hux/Poe makes no sense. Nathan/Caleb would be hot but also really depressing. But I love Oscar/Domhnall because you can play with how they're feeling about playing awful people, and there's a built in plot where they worked together, didn't see each other for a while, and then worked together again. It doesn't have very much to do with the actual actors as people. I wouldn't be interested in RPF about people I know.
