i remember when i first learned there was a name for the poe/kylo ship and i got real excited because i thought other people would be into the possibilities of their fucked up dynamics.

but nah, most of the darkpilot stuff on tumblr is like "kylo is nervous about holding hands. poe shows him how not to be afraid." or whatever. i don't really get it.

that sounds dreadful.

I've liked the few DarkPilot fics I've come across where they were best friends or boyfriends as Ben and Poe and Poe gets all fucked up because of it...I wish there was more dark Poe stuff out there. He's too good for my tastes.

Amen to this. I have no problem with people exploring the fluffier side of things but I would also expect a pairing like that to be pretty intense and raw.

I would LOVE if this meme got a little less vanilla though, I want to see more wild stuff even if it isn't my cup of tea sometimes it is just nice to have a break from the typical.

I don't think Hux is smart like, let's say, Lord Beckett from Pirates of the Caribbean is. I would say he's definitely organized and "here for a reason": a general so young has to be skilled in some ways, even if it's just politics. Can see him being "school smart" but not really into practical thinking or instincts.

I can't answer regarding Phasma: I was really disappointed by how small and silly her role was compared to all the hype there was around her.

i agree! i think there's a lot of potential for him considering his canonical risky behavior and the fact that his idol is leia "i'd do anything for the resistance" organa. the potential for dark!poe in darkpilot is off the wall.

i'm actually working on a couple fics right now with the sole purpose of putting more morally-questionable!poe fics into the world.

Agreed, almost anything can be enjoyable if it is written right, makes sense in the story. Underage is the only place where I draw the line.

(... the last one being the most intense tbh. I can deal with encountering all of them accidentally -- I'm a fandom veteran who has clear memories of stumbling across all kinds of unexpected things in fic before warnings or tags were even remotely a thing -- but 100% infidelity is the only one that wrecks me when I'm not expecting it.)

Ughhhh. As a hardcore non-fluffy Kylo/Poe shipper, this kinda stuff low-key pisses me off and it's in the tags ALWAYS. (I would never tell them that, or that they can't enjoy their ship however they want, but tbh it drives me crazy -- especially when they start calling people who ship non-fluffy Kylo/Poe 'abusive' or 'horrible people' like ???? pls stop.)

That being said, there are a few darker fics! You just kinda have to sift for it through the fluffy bs. @_@

I completely agree on the second point. Kink/scene negotiation usually throws me right out of a story. I would rather assume consent unless the fic is clearly dub/non-con. I'd rather it wasn't spelled out for me. I see a lot of this in published BDSM fiction, too.

I feel like a weirdo because I really like ageplay when it's done well and it's a squick for so many people! Oh well. YKINMK and all that.

I'll read almost any kink but I think necrophilia might be a hard limit for me. Then again, I don't think I've ever read necro fic before, so who knows? I'm not overly fond of the oviposition (sp?) or stuffing kinks either, but A/B/O and mpreg don't really bother me.
