POLLS
This is the post that I promised you ages ago! And there's a poll to go with it.
1) The first thing I want to discuss is the possibility of opening the kinkmeme to other Star Wars movies - that is post-TFA movies. OT and PT are a no-go, at least for now. Never say never, etc.
In case you guys want that, we could have a separate post for Rogue One prompts or do something else if you have better ideas. If guys would rather start your own Rogue One kinkmeme, then I'd be happy to promote it here!
2) Next: prompt freezes. We're close to prompt post seven, so it's be great to decide the length of future freezes, etc before then.
The poll is here. Please vote.
Comments are screened.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 12:55 am (UTC)(link)Also, re: freeze. I've actually been thinking about this. The trickle of people posting fills has slowed down some, and I for one I've found it hard to keep up with all the stuff I want to fill. What about having a prompt freeze regularly if it continues to be, regardless of how many comments there are in the prompt thread? Like, IDK, a week or five days every month? Or maybe 'either when 2500/5000 comments are reached or one week a month, whichever comes first'.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 07:31 am (UTC)(link)Rogue One seems like such a separate entity from the new trilogy, so a separate kinkmeme would be good. Then the TFA meme could just treat Rogue One like the original trilogy and prequels: crossovers are fine, but prompts must relate to TFA. As Rogue One approaches though, I can imagine more of us getting inspired to prompt Rogue One ideas, so a separate thread would help interested people prompt and fill Rogue One crossovers in an easy to find place, and no one will feel like they're wading through Rogue One prompts in a new trilogy kinkmeme. I say new trilogy rather than just "The Force Awakens" because I habitually think of Star Wars content in terms of eras (OT/Empire era, PT/Republic era, NT/New Republic era). Rogue One will definitely inspire new ideas that tie in with TFA characters, but it doesn't feel like something I'd link with Episodes 7-9 any more than Rebels or other content that takes place in other eras.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-05 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)Original trilogy may have some influence from the prequels (naturally), but typically involve events in and of the original trilogy, and concern the characters of said trilogy.
Now we have The Force Awakens. Some characters from the original trilogy are here but the events take place... what is it, thirty years later? It's a new mindset, new characters (for the most part) and new events. I figure with VIII and IX forthcoming this trilogy will be bunched together too.
Rogue One technically falls into the sphere of the original trilogy, timewise, but concerns only one event, and aside from Bail there are no characters that we immediately recognise. Um... scratch that. Vader and Bail are in the movie, but the size of their roles is yet to be determined. I would prefer to treat Rogue One as a separate entity. If popularity and demand is big enough I'd say it should have it's own kink page. But up until we know, it could be kept here, but with a prompt thread strictly for it.
