Gen or Any/Any: Attack the Block crossover

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 12:32 am (UTC)(link)
So, listen, I fucking love AtB, right? I have a monster crush on Pest, but anyway. There's a fanart somewhere with Rey and Finn hiding from a BGWM, and it got me thinking we need some crossovers.

Idea: there's a planet somewhere which will represent the Block (because SW planets are really just one ecosystem/city/general thing, somehow) and which is under attack by BGWM, which might be made by the First Order, or might be coincidence, or maybe the First Order didn't make them, but is using them to weaken a population that puts up too much of a fight, idk.

Other idea: Moses lives with his uncle because his parents we killed by the First Order 20 years ago. His brother was taken by them, and is now an ex-stormtrooper.

Ooh, or both!

Honestly, I'd just love for any kind of crossover with AtB, please!

maybe Leia's hair styles get copied and are a favorite place to stash a few smuggled items

Re: Kylux - Force Ghost Anakin - "Take your ginger bae and run"

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
and yet I sure wish it was those words... Force ghost Anakin has spent this long unable to reach Ben, it's lots of time to regret that he didn't take both his brunette bae and his ginger bae and hoof it.

Gen AU - Han accidentally adopted bb!Hux

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
When those still loyal to the Empire were forced to evacuate after the Empire's fall, little baby Hux (only 4 at the time) somehow got separated from his parents and was left behind.

Cut to Han (or Chewie) finding a redhead kid, dressed in typical Empire fashion, hiding in their cargo hold, crying his eyes out.

Han: Well.... shit.

+ Han (and Leia) DO try and find the kid's parents but he only knows them by "Mama" and "Papa" and only knows his first name (or maybe pronounces 'Hux' wrong so that's no help)
+ Hux basically imprints on Han/Chewie and cries whenever they leave.
+ Han, Chewie (and Leia) don't really want to give the kid back to what's left of the Empire (who knows what they'd do to him!)
+ Hux and infant!Ben

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
me too! (to the stress, feel free to fill!!) all i would be dealing with is someone didn't file what they're supposed to, and looking in every conceivable place that it may have been shuffled off to, but it's still stressful and so much funnier for all the stress to get dumped onto a Hux instead.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Good point. (And you can ramble on if you like, you wrote the prompt after all.) But Snoke could have (secretly) preferred Hux (vs his predecesors) for a reason Kylo may have liked about Hux too (i.e. Hux's mind is organized and actually soothing compared to the mess of thoughts of the rest of the incompetent Order officers---he needs a breather from dealing with Kylo and knights esp. when he's too busy plotting to meditate:)

A virgin Prince too! *nudge nudge* You can't get more traditional than that, even if this Prince seems to think he's a Knight...

Mini-fill: Gen Multiverse Crossover - The Culture Novels

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Hux woke up. He wasn’t sure why. Maybe some subtle sound had alerted him, or a change in the feel of his room. He was nearly sure the door hadn’t been opened, but his hand automatically went to the blaster he kept stashed near his pillow.

‘I found the gun, try again,’ a voice said from one corner of his room.

Hux’s pulse sped and tried to shift closer to the bedside drawer that held his knife. It probably would be much use against someone who had his blaster, but it might just give him an edge.

‘Also the knife. You could try calling for help, but even without the soundproofing, I’ve made sure we won’t be disturbed.’

Hux breathed deeply and evenly. ‘What do you want?’ he asked.

‘That’s an excellent question. I could try telling you about the Culture, but they’re not really relevant here. Mostly I’m looking for something to do. It’s like inertia. Once you make a habit of something, it’s hard to break it, even if you’re in a different place and mostly alone.’

Hux’s eyes were adjusting to the dimness and he saw the figure of man. His proportions seemed slightly off, but he otherwise looked reasonably human. Maybe he was across-breed of some sort. Based on his largely incoherent rambling, he was also clearly mad.

‘If you’ve truly managed to get in here without raising alarms, then you are a person with unique talents and I could think of some things you could do if you’re looking for a purpose. In a way, I could offer you a grand purpose.’

The man snorted. ‘I know what sort of purposed you’d offer me and I’m not interested. You’d think that at your level of tech, gigadeath crimes would be beyond your lot. But as I keep trying to tell them, pan-humans find a way. You lot haven’t even discovered the Grid; you’re using stars to power your weaponry, but here we are—billions dead and you’re sleeping soundly.’

‘So this is about revenge?’ Hux asked. Maybe if he stalled long enough Ren would sense something and sweep in. Hux tried to project danger and fear as hard as he could.

‘Not revenge, just balancing the scales, I guess,’ the assassin said.

Anger rose in Hux. ‘There are no scales and what you’re doing would be pointless. Even if you kill me, someone takes my place. The First Order is bigger than any individual and the Starkiller itself is certainly bigger than you.’

The assassin gave an unpleasant smile. ‘True. But I only need to win one argument against a stubborn ship to get rid of the Starkiller and in the meantime, I don’t think even the Culture would object to me killing you. Well, they probably would, but they’ve always been hand-wringingly squeamish about this sort of thing.’

‘Whoever you are, whatever agents you represent, if you stand in the way of the First Order, you will be crushed.’ Hux’s heart was beating rapidly, but he wouldn’t be intimidated by some assassin in the night.

‘Somehow, I don’t think that’s very likely,’ said the assassin.

Hux’s last thought was that being killed by his own blaster really was adding insult to injury.

///

Zakalwe looked down at the corpse and sighed. Moments later he disappeared and reappeared aboard a ship that was practically on top of the Starkiller by astronomical standards. Of course no one in this galaxy would be able to detect it at their technological level.

A silver-skinned humanoid sauntered up to Zakalwe and grinned. ‘You know they wouldn’t be very happy with your vigilante activities. You’re clumsy. Another one of their fanatics is just going to fill the power vacuum.’

‘Yeah, well they’re not around, are they?’ Zakalwe paused for a moment. ‘Remind me again why I let you talk me into going through a black hole?’

The Av laughed. ‘Boredom and a fit of self destruction? I mean that’s why I did it. I assumed you just liked me.’

Zakalwe gave a grudging smile. In a way, it was true. The Abominator-class Falling Outside The Normal Moral Constraints was one of the more bearable Culture ships Zakalwe had met. It was less self-righteous, and it didn’t pretend it was being altruistic.

‘You wish, machine, I’d just had enough of the Culture and their bleating. Even uncertain death was better than more Special Circumstances fuckery.’

The ship’s avatar smiled, long and slow. ‘Whatever you say, meat. So who do you want to kill next?’

///

Okay this was rough and also a really obscure crossover with Iain M Banks’ Culture novels. Zakalwe’s views on the Culture do not reflect my own in any way. Also this prompt is crying out for all the multi-fills. Just sayin’.

Hux: crack: Milicent is a cat. It is also a smoke screen to what Hux is really up to

(Anonymous) 2016-03-21 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
When Hux receives command of the Finalizer the first thing he does is obtain a cat. Why? Not because he desperately needs a fuzzy comfort object but because at his level he is not only allowed but *expected* to have some oddity and *this is his smoke screen*.

What is he really up to?

I am not OP, but it let it be known that I am just as down for a dark, twisted interpretation of this prompt as I am for a sweet, fluffy one.

Yes please! Ever since that last amazing Dragon!Hux fill I've been needing more -- though I really like the idea of a space Phoenix too, wow wow, fiery hair, rising from the ashes of the old Empire (which he probably helped destroy after they sent him tax forms). And Mmmm, "lush man-child" Nice. Good idea, Snoke. Good prompt OP.
