OP here, and thank you so much for filling this prompt!!! It's funny and it's adorable, and the pacing feels perfect. Finn assuming that Matt's in love with Kylo is just the icing on the cake.

From the beginning, Hux works three times as hard as his classmates, gets into the Royal Ballet School and maintains a tight work schedule to perfect every step of every dance. He is hired by an up and coming company called the First Order Ballet straight out of school and had been working his way up to lead with every performance. Until their director Snoke hires Kylo Ren.

Before being introduced at First Order Ballet as a soloist, no one has ever heard of Ren; he holds no degree from any recognized school, disregards long held ballet etiquette and mocks the rigidness of Hux's perfected technique. But he is very good. There is a lethal sensuality he brings to the stage when he performs that Hux has never been able to master through flawless precision.

As the favorite of the director, Ren can apparently do no wrong. He throws tantrums when he messes up his steps, shouts at the ensemble when he feels they are out of sync, and pouts when Hux tells him off. The two are cast in a pas de deux and are forced to endure each other's constant presence leading up to the premier of their new piece The Awakening. Eventually, they will get together.

Phasma supervises the ensemble, Rey is a brilliant young featured dancer with potential to become a soloist. Finn is an ernest new graduate stuck in the ensemble.

Hux sr is in a long term established (read abusive & controlling) relationship with his son. Hux jr wouldn't even think of disobeying his father, not even when his father tells him he wants him to carry his child to keep the bloodline clean.

Someone has been abusing access to the surveillance cameras (and installing new cameras where there shouldn't be any). Pics of some of the more attractive members of the Resistance in various states of undress have been passed around the base. Poster-boy Poe is featured heavily.
Once someone who isn't a douchebag gets wind of this and goes to the senior staff they crack down on it, but the damage has been done. Poe has to walk around knowing that like half of the base has seen that one holo of him pleasuring himself in what was supposed to be the privacy of his own quarters.

+ "You should be flattered," reactions
+ His pilots are boneheads/tease him about it until they work out how genuinely upset he is
+ Finn wants to respect Poe's privacy, but he also desperately wants to see that holo (and hates himself for it) rather than just hear the crude retellings.

Kylo gets off on Hux dominating him, humiliating him, and saying degrading things. He lets Hux take control and never brings the Force out in the bedroom as a show of submission.

But Hux goes too far with his verbal humiliation in one session. Maybe he gets too into it and brings up too painful a subject (Kylo's parents, maybe). Kylo is so angry that he breaks right out of sub mode, uses the Force to throw Hux off of him, and storms out.

I want to see how everything progresses from there. Does Hux try to apologize? If he does, does Kylo accept? Do they set more ground rules in their relationship or do they call it off for good? Up to the filler!

The disney variation please ('cause happy end) with Finn as Ariel, Poe as Erik and Kylo as Ursula.

The Finalizer is sent on a resource gathering trip to a world run by a particularly hierarchical and aggressive advanced species.

They love Kylo. Everything he does is socially perfect: his tantrums, selfishness, and alpha male bullshit are considered positive traits. They are under the misapprehension that Kylo's in charge, and ignore whatever Hux has to say unless Kylo repeats it. They approve when Kylo throws his weight around; manhandling Hux, pulling him into his lap, running one of his absurd hands through Hux's hair and messing it up. But Hux is going to endure it, for the sake of his career, for the resources, because Snoke said to. Except Kylo keeps escalating things. And they share a room. Alone. Hux has no illusions about how easily Kylo could overpower him, and the fact that no one around them will care if he does.

Kylo, meanwhile, is having a great time indulging himself and knocking Hux down a few pegs. He doesn't have any intention of forcing himself on Hux, and is self-absorbed enough to not register that Hux's lack of protest isn't consent. Cue Hux living in a state of dread and Kylo blissfully unaware, thinking their relationship is progressing well.

Would prefer if Kylo catches a clue before it turns outright sexual, and no established relationship.

Bonus if a moment Ren thinks is romantic is abruptly ended by Hux's fist smashing him in the face.

I don't mean Force Ghost. I mean Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze pottery-wheel fuckery.

Don't mind who dies, whether it's Canon-verse or totally AU, or if you pull shenanigans to undo the death at the end. Just, one of them is screaming at the other unheard, and has to enlist Phasma/Whoopi Goldberg/Rey/Finn/some psychic to solve his own murder and save his boyfriend. Or Kylo could be the psychic helping Hux?

Of all the cinnamon buns in the universe, Mitaka is the cinnamon bunniest. Everyone adores him, but he's innocent and oblivious to every advance. When he goes planet side flowers bloom and baby animals gently frisk about his feet.

No one seems to be at all curious why such a sweet fluffy man would be an officer in the First Order, though. Not at all....

During an uneasy series of tense communications between the Finalizer and the Resistance, Lord Ren is called to the bridge to offer his input on the negotiations.

...unfortunately, Lord Ren is released directly from the medical center, where he was undergoing treatment for injuries suffered during the earlier battle. As a result, he is practically swimming in painkillers and - the technical term, General Hux learns, is 'high as a kite'.

...he also seems to be reciting (badly-written) sonnets to the General's eyes. And hair. And facial structure. While the comms to the Resistance are fully opened.

+ Kylo starts dreamily planning out his and Hux's wedding.

So every single force sensitive person is having sex (Kylo and Hux, Poe and Finn, Rey and Jessica, Leia's had a KID with Han for goodness sake, Luke and Wedge, the Knights of Ren in whatever situation they have figured out, Snoke and his right hand) and a Jedi Abstinence Patrol had to travel to the future to put this whole having-sex-thing to an end.

No one's willing to give up sex. Cue the battle for boning.

Phasma got out of the trash compactor, but not before an enterprising baby tentacle monster managed to stow away in her armor. It hitches a ride back to the Finalizer.
After a while the crew start to report... disturbances in the showers on a particular floor.
