“Well our latest requisition of an agricultural-heavy planet has indeed paid off. With a single swoop we have managed to replenish our stores and raise troop morale,” mused General Hux as he forked at the side dish of fresh tangy space red cabbage slaw, perfect for the succulent pulled pork dipped in sauce and gravy. The General then smirked with an air of superiority and vindictiveness at the Master of the Knights of Ren, “And was it not you who had said the whole endeavor was a waste of time?”

“…” fumed Kylo Ren as he stared at his sandwich and space maple corn bread. How was he supposed to eat with his mask on? How had his grandfather managed? Oh grandfather, please send a vision onto your grandson!

“Meow~~~” said Millicent the cat, as she circled the tables, hoping for some juicy scraps.

JB-007 felt sorry for her, so neglected while her ‘parents’ are busy having a pissing contest again, and fed her some small bits from his own sandwich.

"What's this?" Rey pokes her fork over at a low dish of some kind of stringy-looking meat, and wrinkles her nose. "Is this even edible?"

"Are you kidding me?" Poe exclaims. "This, my friend, this is pulled pork. Truly one of the great wonders of the galaxy."

Rey, who seems to be somewhat less than convinced at this, gingerly takes a small bit of the meat, and places it on her plate. It was nice, and all, that Poe had decided to fill in the gaps in her culinary education, but there was only so far she was willing to go before the thought of stale Imperial rations actually started to feel nostalgic.

"You can put it on a roll, like this—" Poe grabbed one of the fresh rolls from the tray; those, she did like. "—put some hot sauce on it, maybe melt a little cheese, and cabbage slaw, have you tried that yet?"

"Anything with a name like 'slaw' sounds like it ought to be used for degreasing engines." Rey brought the tip of her fork to her mouth, tasting a morsel of the brown, gelatinous goup on the tine.

And then, like the sun breaking through the clouds, her face transformed. "This is really good!"

"See!" Poe beamed at her as she took another bite of it. "Pulled pork. It's magical. Just wait until you try carnitas..."

Finn/Poe or Finn/Rey or OT3 - Flying Kink
