"What's this?" Rey pokes her fork over at a low dish of some kind of stringy-looking meat, and wrinkles her nose. "Is this even edible?"

"Are you kidding me?" Poe exclaims. "This, my friend, this is pulled pork. Truly one of the great wonders of the galaxy."

Rey, who seems to be somewhat less than convinced at this, gingerly takes a small bit of the meat, and places it on her plate. It was nice, and all, that Poe had decided to fill in the gaps in her culinary education, but there was only so far she was willing to go before the thought of stale Imperial rations actually started to feel nostalgic.

"You can put it on a roll, like this—" Poe grabbed one of the fresh rolls from the tray; those, she did like. "—put some hot sauce on it, maybe melt a little cheese, and cabbage slaw, have you tried that yet?"

"Anything with a name like 'slaw' sounds like it ought to be used for degreasing engines." Rey brought the tip of her fork to her mouth, tasting a morsel of the brown, gelatinous goup on the tine.

And then, like the sun breaking through the clouds, her face transformed. "This is really good!"

"See!" Poe beamed at her as she took another bite of it. "Pulled pork. It's magical. Just wait until you try carnitas..."
