That was amazing, anon! Probably the best Starkiller aftermath fic I've ever read. Like, I know he's a fascist maniac, but Hux's overwhelming sense of loss was heart breaking and that eulogy was so perfect, so Hux. Of course he'd have a speech, of course he'd nail it. Ren's bad timing, Phasma's understanding, waking up burning/waking up cold -- all excellent stuff.

Thank you so much! Hux is very much one of those 'a hero in his own mind' villains to me--he's not blowing up planets for shits and giggles; he genuinely wants to improve things and is still human beneath his ruthless professionalism. It's easy to make him (and Phasma, for that matter) one-dimensional, but there's really a lot of complexity to pull from there.
