Gen or ...R2D2/BB8 droid grief (possible grief/depression triggers)

Poe dies or appears to be dead after some incident. BB8 is utterly devastated and refuses to leave his grave/wherever BB8 saw him last. The droid is teetering on the edge of going into low power mode or shutting down forever, but not wanting to in case Poe comes back, because BB8 has to be there to greet him, so he just rolls around, keeping watch and chasing away anyone who gets too close. Even Finn and Rey who are dealing with this themselves too can't help BB8.

R2D2, with his experience of going into low power mode when Luke disappeared, sees BB8 in pain and knows he's the only one who might be able to understand and help BB8 deal with the loss, even if it does turn out to be temporary.


TLDR: DROID ANGST.
