Bridge scene AU where instead of killing Han, Kylo Ren has a moment where he is Ben Solo again and escapes Starkiller with his father.

And then regrets his decision ten minutes later.

Because clearly, what just happened to him is akin to Vader's one moments of weakness before his death. One fatal moment that ruined everything. And look at what he just did!

Han, Rey and Co. are savvy enough to restrain him as soon as he shows signs of doubt, but by the time they get back to the base he is snarling, kicking, determined to get back to the First Order and fix his shameful mistake. Leia and Han are stuck: that moment on the bridge proved that he can be saved, but now he is behaving like an enemy again. They want to protect him from those who would see them executed, but he isn't making it easy for them.

Bonus if Snoke is savvy enough to promise forgiveness should Kylo return.(Also, at this point just assume any of my prompts has "Contrived Bonus: Kylux" implied.^^⁾
