Out of curiosity, what fandom was this?

I've seen this happen in a few fandoms and each time it made no sense because the dogs were an important part of the storyline.

One was Dragon Age, which was bizarre because dogs are really important to the kingdom. The other was an AU fic of Fraction's Hawkeye series where Lucky was a cat instead of a dog. Poor Pizza Dog.
