I always saw the Rebellion and the Resistance as sort of space pirates, flying through the ocean of space. It is a space opera with Jedi "Knights", princesses, The Chosen One, Han the smuggler/piratey guy, so I just figured it was connected to that.

It'd stress me out so much more than "update please!!!!" It'd stop being a daydream I post online but an obligation. (This is also why I don't post WIPs lol)

After reading a lot of the comments, I'm gonna err on the side of not bothering the author. You all make a lot of good points. While I would personally love it if someone bugged me to update one of my WIPs (be nice to feel like someone cares), I understand that feeling is not shared by everyone.

I keep scrolling through my dash and misreading every single mention of Kylo Amidala (Trope where Kylo makes his fashion/life choices based on his grandmother in stead of his grandfather) as Kylo Armada, and I keep thinking that might be a good name for Kylo fans to call themselves. Join the Kylo Armada, they have conflicted mass-murdering hot boys.

Leaving a comment about how you loved the fic is very much not bothering the author - as you say, it's nice to know someone cared enough to comment. It's only demanding or guilt-inducing comments that really bother (some) authors.

If you haven't left a comment, do so. It might encourage the author if they know that someone out there is still reading.

Just don't bug them for an update.

I just went back and looked at the first two threads and now I'm cranky about the amazing Poe prompts that went unfilled. UUUUUGH so many good ones.

It's a bit of a slow process but I'm getting through a few pages a day. Currently working on Part 2. Parts 1, 3 and 5 up until the prompt freeze are all up on delicious. Although I haven't had a chance to go and edit the tags for filled/unfilled for those parts quite yet since I've been concentrating on finishing all the linking first.

I'd still leave a comment though. Typically if I comment on a WIP or fic that seems unfinished I compliment it & then follow up with "would love to see the conclusion!"

There are some writers that only write if they get what they feel is enough attention so I tend to assume that with everyone, even if they seem quite lovely & not attention-whorey

Besides Raw Rats, what other fandom are you guys in? Are you active or do you lurk in the shadows?

Hux isn't a secret member or anything ;)

Dragon Age, Fire Emblem, GW2, Fallout, Marvel, Transformers, MGS, OPM, Good Omens, Sherlock, LoTR, etc etc. But only actively drawing and writing for one fandom at the time, and lurks for most of them.

He's probably the president of the fanclub.
