THANK YOU FOR OPENING UP A NEW PROMT FOR THE NEW SERIES! I am so excited! I'm looking forward to filling in so many prompts!
HOW DID YOU ALL FEEL ABOUT THE MOVIE!? Let's not be haters here. I understand there were issues, but if you are here for prompts I assume there was something you liked. WHAT SHIPS OR KINKS ARE YOU HOPING TO FIND HERE?
I'm hoping this com comes back to life again! TO ANOTHER WRITING YEAR!
Y’know, the specific structure of you asking that made me actually think, because it’s different from having spent the last six months being told I’m lying about what I did/didn’t like when I tell people I will best TLJ in single combat in a Denny’s parking lot—I am on the meme and I am writing post-TLJ fic along with divergence before, so what draws me there?
I’m pretty sure the unambiguous positive answer is “eyyyyy Snoke got fuckin rekt” though, that’s the big geopolitical shift I want more of in my life that isn’t contained in and can’t be extrapolated from TFA, I want... politick... upheaval... I want to eat it...
(I do adore Holdo! So much! It’s just the |unambiguous positive reason to write fic that depends on TLJ spoilers| challenge I spent, wow, two weeks picking at.)
Hi all, I just discovered this beautiful treasure trove of fic, and I was just wondering...is RPF allowed here? Just to clarify because ik a lot of people Don't Like it.
And for the record, I really enjoyed TLJ (seeing it a 3rd time this weekend!). It definitely did have its flaws, as most movies do, but I loved the bold steps it took in terms of character development (plus I think I fell a little in love with Laura Dern)
So my brain for reasons of its own decided that the compulsion of the month is reading every single prompt in the history of the meme, because apparently my purpose in life is to codify a new subtype of OCD: the walking punchline.
Ahem.
Anyway, I’ve ended up with literally 90+ prompts bookmarked to maybe fill and counting. (While executive dysfunction means I am traditionally catastrophic at the whole money where mouth is thing, I am prose/outline-deep in fills for over a dozen of them.) Hence the question it’s taking me forever to get to.
I really like dense hyper-detailed outlines. The problem with that is that I end up writing fills for multiple prompts at once as in simultaneous/combined fills and I’m worried that posting them as such would make the OPs feel neglected/disrespected. I’d love to get people’s thoughts on that so I can figure out what the way to play it with minimal splash damage is (be honest about it being a combined fill? Link it to one as a fill and one as being RTYI? Die in a ditch? Not that one please).
(Similarly and even worse: I have a long-haul fic series WIP that a bunch of prompts on here gave me inspiration for. I am straight-up filling them in-universe and will credit the inspiration as such in A/N, but would people feel manipulated if I went “hi a fill” and it was surprise in continuity with an existing thing aaaaa)
YAY! WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

(Anonymous) 2018-01-31 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)Personally, my ships took some major hits thanks to TLJ, lol, but it's cool... Everything's... cool.
The only ship I kinda liked before (because I'm a weirdo) that gained momentum was Hux/Poe. Arguably Hux/Finn, too.
Also? DJ better find his way into Episode IX. That is all.

Re: Question
(Anonymous) 2018-01-31 02:07 pm (UTC)(link)RPF was allowed in the past, and I'm sure it's still allowed now. :3 I may or may not have written a short RPF fill myself...

all prompts welcome, and the pinboard is up to date! It's a small group so far but we've got fills and we're looking for new blood. :)
Thoughts on multipurpose fills?
