…Oh, I do like this! Love it, really.

Sure, the story doesn't follow the prompt to the letter (which, to be fair, would be quite difficult) and Kylo's gleeful enjoyment of Poe's struggles is different from cold-hearted pragmatism I pictured in my mind, but it works out just as well (even better) because Kylo is clearly in denial about his twisted attachment to his prisoner and seems more interested in pleasing himself than hurting Poe – and that is exactly what I wanted. Not to mention, his POV is much more lascivious because of it, and it's delicious.

Your portrayal of Kylo is actually one of my favorite things about this fic. It's so interesting to see him established as Supreme Leader and fully embracing the dark side as a true villain he always aspired to be and to see him revel in it; somehow I doubt the movies will allow him to have that in the future, so your fic is that much more appreciated because of it. (Plus, chances of Disney ever providing an actual, honest-to-god rape scene are equal to ZERO - so thank you for that as well.)

Finally, I am really happy you managed to keep Poe defiant even though his situation seems quite hopeless right now. Just knowing that he still could (and would) fight back against Kylo or escape if he ever got the chance means that he is still "the best pilot in the resistance" and that is a very important part of his appeal (in fact Kylo would probably think the same, IMO).

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH for a wonderful fill with a very dark theme. I've been missing the extra-dark Darkpilot from the early days of the ship and you really delivered. :D

PS: ...I noticed you got asked about a follow up for this story on AO3, so I thought I might mention that my prompt did provide room for some long term abuse, few unsuccessful escape attempts for Poe (possibly ending with a successful one) and a possibility for an alternative, unrequited love interest for Kylo (allowing him to take his sexual frustration out on Poe) – so if you want to continue the fic there's still some material to exploit… Also, there's no reason you shouldn't add your own stuff to the story; as it turns out I have read most of your Darkpilot fics on AO3 before, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like anything you can come up with. ;)
