Kylo only communicates with Leia through Poe

Poe doesn't get rescued from the Finalizer, not after Ren decides he can be useful. He uses Poe to talk to and taunt his mom back on the Resistance base, knowing it will hurt her to see her loyal pilot so abused and forced into First Order servitude.

Kylo enjoys causing them both pain, but he doesn't realize that he has come to actually enjoy the time he spends with Poe, just behind the transmission lens. He doesn't anticipate looking forward to the times he gets to see and hear his mom speak again.
